Trying to share a calendar with permissions and it isn't working

Trying to share a calendar with permissions and it isn't working

I used the share calendar function to try to share a calendar with permissions to edit to a friend of mine as a test and they are unable to gain access to the calendar.
They get brought to the Zoho home page, and when they click to access their calendars, the one I sent is not there.

I've tried a couple of other and next to nothing works. We just managed to get my friend to subscribe to my calendar after painstakingly trying so many things, but they still don't have permissions to edit my calendar + they can't see all the color coding I did.

Am I missing something here? How am I supposed to share the calendar.
