Hello everyone,
A slew of new integrations and enhancements are what awaits you this month! Keep reading to know what we've added to Zoho Invoice in this past month.
Enhancements to Zoho CRM integration
The Zoho Invoice - Zoho CRM integration has been enhanced to bring more context to customers when syncing them with Zoho CRM. As part of this enhancement, we've made the below changes:
- To differentiate between B2B and B2C customers, we have now added a field Customer Type in the contact creation page, to choose if a customer should be marked as "Business" or "Individual".
- When setting up the modules to be synced from Zoho CRM, you can now choose if you want to sync Contacts in Zoho CRM that do not have an Account associated to them, as "Individual" customers in Zoho Invoice. With this, you can accomodate both B2B and B2C customers.
- A "Business" customer in Zoho Invoice will be synced with the Accounts module of Zoho CRM. An "Individual" customer in Zoho Invoice will be synced with the Contacts module of Zoho CRM.
Provide a header for line items
Categorize your line items in invoices and estimates with the help of item headers. When you create a new invoice, recurring invoice, or estimate, you can now add an item header for the line items. Multiple headers can be created, dragged and placed above any item. Once you have added item headers, you can get a clear segregation of the items in the final PDF of the transaction. This feature is available in all the predefined templates.
To add item headers:
- Go to the Invoices/Recurring Invoice/Estimates module.
- Click + New to create a new transaction or edit an existing one.
- After entering the line items, click the dropdown next to Add Another Line.
- Select Add Item Header.
- Add the header name.
Bulk update projects in invoice line items
No more hassle of manually associating projects to each of your line items in invoices. When creating an invoice, with the help of the bulk update option, you can now select the line items and associate projects easily in one go.
To do this: Go to Invoices > Click + New > Select the customer and enter the line items > Click Bulk Update Line Items > Select line items to be updated > Click Update Project > Select a Project > Update.
Set profile level preference for recurring invoices
You can now set customer level preference for recurring invoices. With this update, when you create a recurring invoice, you can choose how its invoices should be sent to customers. Similarly, you can save the desired preference for each recurring profile. If you have the same preference for multiple recurring invoice profiles, you can also
bulk update
the same.
To set this preference: Go to Recurring Invoices > Select + New or edit an existing profile > Click the gear icon next to Preferences in the bottom of the page > Select the preference > Save.
Accept ACH payments through Stripe (Global and US Edition)
Users having Zoho Invoice - Stripe integration can now accept payments via Stripe ACH. With Stripe ACH, you can charge your customer’s bank account to receive payments seamlessly.

Note
: Stripe ACH is available only for US based organizations.
View invoice details contextually
Want to quickly check the details of the invoice created from an estimate? You can now view the invoice details contextually, within the estimates module. Once an estimate has been invoiced, you can view the corresponding invoice's details by clicking "View the invoice" link in the Comments & History tab of the estimate.
Give these features a try and share your thoughts in the comments below. We will be back again next month with a fresh set of updates in
Zoho Invoice
for you.
Cheers,
Lavanya
