What's New this March 2021 in Zoho Invoice?

Hello, everyone!

The latest updates to Zoho Invoice range from a separate module for developers, to advanced analytics right within the Reports module. Read on to discover all the new features we've added in the past month.

Developer Space

We've added a dedicated space for developers, to provide them with a single place to access and monitor developer-focused information like API usage. We've also moved Connections to the Developer Space. You can access it from Settings. More developer options are coming your way, so stay tuned.



The new API Usage Dashboard within Developer Space helps you keep track of the number of API calls made from Zoho Invoice. This dashboard lists the API usage for the day; the top 5 sources of API usage based on parameters like applications, IP addresses, and modules; the API usage over the last 30 days; and more. This data can help you plan your API usage in Zoho Invoice efficiently.

To access this module: Go to Settings > Developer Space > API Usage.



Discounts in Price Lists

You can now set predefined discounts for each item in Price Lists, in addition to setting custom item rates. This discount percentage will be applied to the custom rate set for each item in a price list. You can use the Update in Bulk option to apply discounts to multiple items in a Price List at once.

Note: This Discount field will be available only if you've chosen to provide discounts at the line item level in Settings > Preferences > General.



DLT Registration & SMS Template Customization (India)

The TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has revised the rules for sending bulk SMS in India in order to reduce spam. To comply with the new rules, you'll have to register with any DLT operator to send SMS notifications to your customers. Once you register, you can enter in Zoho Invoice the Template ID and SMS Template that was approved in the DLT platform. This will allow you to customize the SMS notifications you send to customers. Learn more.

Note: If you fail to register with DLT by 15 March, 2021, SMS notifications will be sent with Zoho branding and predefined templates.


Advanced Analytics within the Reports Module

If you've integrated Zoho Invoice with Zoho Analytics, you can now view an Advanced Analytics tab within the Reports module. Here, all the dashboards you've created in Zoho Analytics will be displayed, so you can get more insights on your business health without leaving Zoho Invoice.
