When a Lead is converted to a contact the History / Timeline information is removed. This is very critical info as someone may change part of original data at the lead level like lead contact, email, phone etc and after conversion, we do not have all that available... Within the leads module we've created a workflow such that whenever a new lead is created or pushed into the CRM a new task is automatically created: 'Phone Lead'.
