best practice for refunding deposits
What is the best way to handle the following scenario: 1. Customer pays a deposit to secure a booking for an appointment. 2. Customer cancels their appointment and their deposit is refunded. We need to record the initial payment and the refund, however, we obviously do not wish to record the sale as it never eventuated and it also is not a 'bad debt' that should be written off. At the moment I am changing the the item on the invoice to a $0 amount and showing the refund as a negative 'payment'.
Paypal notice?
Google Checkout (before Zoho) sends me notices that people have paid. I'm new to using Paypal (and have had a business account for several years) so I would like to know if it will too without any using any settings? If so where can I find them? Paypal is now showing on my invoices along with Google Checkout. I plan on using Zoho on a tablet while between my courier orders. All this and I fear that my trial will expire before I can make a decision, but I think I can get by using the 8 dollar a month

import customer info from Zoho CRM to invoice
Hi: Have a quick question: If I have 3 new customers in CRM today, and I want to import them into ZOHO Invoice account, so far I know I need to import all the customers (including the old customers and 3 new customers in CRM) to Invoice account. Is that correct? What if I have thousands of old customers in CRM, because I need import those 3 new customers, I need to import all of them? Seems unreasonable. May be I am missing something here. integration with Zoho Creator app
I have developed a custom CRM app in Zoho Creator which I would now like to integrate with Zoho Invoice via the API so our staff can generate invoices from within our app. We need to populate certain custom fields (e.g. "Medicare Provider No.", etc) depending on which person in our organisation is providing the services to the client. Complete Invoices
I'm a consultant that bills by the hour, sells services and products to my clients and gets reimbursed for expenses. If I understand the system correctly, there isn't a way for me to put all of these items on a single invoice. If I use the existing systems I'd have to generate an invoice using the timesheet for my billable hours; another invoice for reimbursable expenses using the expense options; and then the invoice tab to generate another invoice for sales. Is this really correct??

I have added my bookkeeping and accounting firm as a STAFF user. However, they do not have access to the reports function. Is there a way to enable reporting only, or certain reports? That would be helpful.

How to handle Down Payments
I am having trouble trying to determine how to do down payments. I wasn't certain the best way to handle it. I had to create a line item for 50% down payment. Then in the closing box listed the items the project included. I prefer to create a list item for each item as well the related costs. Then have the option to send an invoice for 50% as down payment. Is there a way to do this? Or will i have to create 2 different invoices?

Export Products from CRM and into Invoice - doesn't work
Should I be able to use this functionality to export my product list from CRM and import it into Invoice? I tried it and I get the following error: Some of the required fields are not present in the file specified for import. In CRM I went to Products > Export Products and saved the file locally. Then in Invoice I went to Items > Import Items and grabbed the csv file. This resulted in the error above. It seems that you need to have the same required fields for both apps in order for this to work.
"Your payment session has expired..."
I've had a few customers report that they receive this error when trying to pay my invoices: Your payment session has expired. Please return to the participating website and try again. I've started checking the link in the generated e-mail before sending the invoice and today, I got it myself. I deleted the invoice and recreated it, but I still received the error. Then, I logged into my PayPal account and tried the link again and it worked. It's easy enough just to tell a customer to log into PayPal
Is there a way to set the size of the logo on invoices and estimates?
The instructions say the file should be 580px x 250px @ 300 DPI, but when I do this it takes up the entire top third of the page. I only want a SMALL 1.5" x 1.5" logo above my address.
Import invoice with more than 1 item
My customer imports about 70 invoices every month. Since yesterday only the first item of the csv-file is imported. I have tested also the tsv-format with the sample file that can be downloaded at the import screen and I get the same result: Only 1 item is imported. Please help - this is really urgent!!! Zoho Invoice API- Customer Search - not finding?
I've been using the customer search in Invoice API successfully with some text in the Notes field, but now I need to search by Customer Name - as the docs suggest I can. However, I'm not getting a match. The name does include spaces and a hyphen if this is a problem - ie. "My Customer Name - State". The name I send is an exact match for the name in Zoho (case, trimmed) but still no joy. Ideas?

Titles for Names
Is there a way to add to the default titles for names in Zoho Invoice? Titles such as Mr., Mrs., and Dr. exist, but the list is missing at least one that I need: Rev. Since there are many possible titles that may be needed, is there any way to add these? Thank you.
Invoice detail view - go to newer/older button
Hello, Zoho team, when I open the detailed view of some invoice and want to view the next or previous one (in case I am looking for something), I am forced to go to list of invoices and then to choose the wanted invoices from this list... I would like to have the button newer/older (arrow) which would get me to detailed view directly not through the list. Same way works google mail views. Limit Staff to Draft Invoices - staff permissions on Zoho Invoice functions
I'd like my staff to basically have read only access to Zoho but be able to create draft invoices. That way they can record their work and I simply have to check and modify invoices before posting them? I also don't want them to particularly see all the reports or even be able to look at previous invoices not drafted by themselves. Surely it wouldn't be rocket science to intruduce simple permissions on the various Zoho Invoice functions / pages?

Need to add vehicle information to invoice
I own an auto repair facility. Each invoice needs full customer information as well as detailed vehicle information. I would also like to be able to create a database linking each vehicle to a specific customer. The three additional fields give in customize invoice are not enough. I am trying to transition from Quickbooks to Zoho for my invoicing needs. In Quickbooks I am able to select which of my employees booked the business so they can get paid a commission.
