Why are id and id_string different?
In the ZoHo Projects API, the returns often contain two fields, id and id_string Often they are the same, but on some records they are different, and experience has taught us that the id_string value is the one that will work in further API calls. I'd like to know what is the difference between the two fields, and what are their intended uses? This can be quite annoying -- for example, calling /portal/[PORTALID]/mytasks/ will return a list of tasks, including the task's project id. I'm trying to create a time log for a task in ZoHo Projects (aka Add Time Log for a Task). 1. I have create access (oAuth sets authority to ZohoProjects.timesheets.ALL) 2. I am using php and cURL 3. I am sending a POST request to https://projectsapi.zoho.eu/restapi/portal/200XXXXXXXX/projects/XXXXX000000053053/tasks/XXXXX000000196860/logs/ (I've replaced the actual IDs with some Xs) 4. Need to be able to create custom views on project screen and determine the columns and filters much like Zoho CRM works. Need to be able to assign the view to different users or all users. Right now, I have to customer the columns per project per user. that is not practical. We are setting up Client Users for our customers to access the projects we are working on for them. However, there is an issue preventing us from releasing this access to our customers. At the moment when a Client User logs and views the Task List view they can see the Work Planned, Time Log, and Difference fields. See attached screen grab where I have highlighted the specific fields. We do not want customers to view this. The My Calendar view would be much more useful if users were able to change the Task info surfaced on calendar entries. We should be able to choose to see any combination of at least the milestone, tasklist, and status in the entry. This is especially true since tasklists don't have owners and milestones can only be assigned to one user. Doing this would make the calendar useful at a glance. It would be great to be able to disable the email notification sent to the Forum owner every time someone posts in a forum. I am the Admin on our account and because I created the Project Template with some predefined Forums, I get an email every single time someone posts in the forum, even if the user posting the message does not send it to me. Hello, Please consider the following change request to Business Rules: My objective is to be able to automatically add anyone as a follower when they make a comment. Is there a way to setup recurring tasks so the task recurs on the same date each time? For example, I have a task that should recur with a due date of March 15th every year. I've tried to import our Basecamp 3 data into Projects but have received the following email. I have even tried to do it one more time and the result was the same. Hi, use Zoho Projects heavily. When we create a project, not every task has a date assigned to it, because it is not yet known. When we look at the "My Tasks" view that we access from the homepage, we can filter for dates on tasks, but we cannot filter where the date is empty. As a workaround, we created a task status called "planning", but it is very painful to update that status one task list at a time. It would be great if we could filter the open tasks view for tasks with no start/due date.project model

Hi, I've associated CRM and Zoho Projects successfully but when I add a task and try to add to CRM I get a message saying "no accounts or deals found". I had this issue once before and managed to fix by disassociating the project and then reassociating but this hasn't worked. Can anyone suggest a fix?Is there some sort of SLA available for tasks?

Hello, I am testing the calendar integration between ZProjects and MS365 and there appear to be two important limitations: The Integration appears to be one-way (from ZProjects to MS365) only as I have been unable to update an event in MS365 and have it go back to Zprojects. A repeating event created in ZProjects only goes over to MS365 as a single event and does not have any of the repeating times. Are both of these true or am I missing something?Edit filter lists

Timesheet in Zoho Projects helps you big time in entering log hours for the tasks and issues and approving them. Now, with the new Time Log Restriction option, you can set daily and weekly log hour limits. You can restrict users from entering extra log hours than the permissible limit. The limits are restricted to 24 hours per day and 168 hours per week by default based on business hours. I believe that sorting of tasks helps managing the activities in a better fashion. You might second it too . By default, the tasks are listed chronologically. However, you can sort the tasks either by its title, start date, end date, priority, created by and percentage completion. All you have to do is, click the Task Sorting option and select the required criteria.
