Is there anyway to track external contacts within a Zoho Project? I can't figure out a place to put them!Reoccurring tasks within a Project template
Maybe I am missing this, but after two hours of searching and watching YouTube videos I can not for the life of my figure out, how to include Reoccurring Tasks within a Project template. Any links/advice would help.Profiles and Permissions

Hi, We recently signed up for paid versions of Zoho CRM and Projects. I registered online using my email account for both products and then afterwards learnt about the Zoho Contextual integration for Gmail so went and added both Zoho CRM and Projects into our Google Apps Domain. I can log into both products fine through a browser and use them fine. Dear all, When reading about subtask on https://www.zoho.com/projects/sub-task.html I see the term "Summary Task" mentioned. What is this and where do I find it in Zoho Projects? This page also talks about a double-arrow button used for indenting or outdenting tasks to create subtasks. This button should be visible by hovering the mouse over a task. I have been given Manager status for a project. When I try to create a Subfolder, the creation dialogue box pops up, but when I click the CREATE button, nothing happens. I've tried in three different browsers. In Chrome, the button doesn't even seem to operate; in Firefox and IE 11, the button seems to operate but the dialogue box just stays on screen and nothing happens. Is there a browser setting I need to change?Depenencies
Dear all, Zoho project is great but the dependencies is totally worthless. It seems to me that the only way to remove a dependency is via the Dependency View and that view is really terrible. There must be a way to group the task by task list and milestone or at least apply a filtering to the list. It's impossible to find a task when you have hundreds within a project. EDIT: Found a way to remove dependencies in the Gantt view. Great improvement for my workflow! Also, if I wish to insert a taskResource Utilization
The old resource utilization layout allowed a person to view utilization on a monthly basis. The new layout only allows a person to view resources for a period of a week. Can we get a monthly view or a custom defined period option to view? It is hard to gauge our company's capacity only looking outward a week at a time. Any help would be appreciated.TimeSheet Approval

After using the new projects interface for document management for a week or so now, I thought I'd give a little feedback on a few things and see what others thought. We use Projects very heavily for document management. Document Descriptions We no longer have the ability to type a description about a file when we're uploading it. As the thoughts flow in your mind, you plan the tasks, provide duration and assign users. While you go through the calendar later, you feel that a couple of tasks should needs to be postponed by a couple of days. Do you navigate to the Tasks & Milestones section and change the task duration? is the question I have for you. Hi, I have just set up a test project in Zoho and have a question about milestones. I added a milestone and some task lists associated with it. Then I set the work hours for the tasks to more than could be done before the milestone was to be ended. Now the Gantt chart correctly shows that the milestone ends before the task list, but I get no warning about this. Until today, we had no problem with the task details API call. Today, when we call for all task details for a particular task, the API is not pushing any data to the "details" object, where the "owners" array has always been stored before. All other values we expect outside of "details" are being returned as normal and without flaw. But the "details" object is simply empty. Has there been a change in the API? We've decided to use bugs rather than tasks to handle all of our team's assignments since they support agile better. Unfortunately it appears that currently there's no easy way to link a bug with a Zoho document that has already been added to the project documents. I think it's a serious oversight. A bug's attachments tab allows to upload local files but not to attach Zoho documents. It should do both.Is there a way to list projects from different portals?
I'm a member of several portals and work on projects in all of them. Currently when i login i only see projects from my "home" portal. In order to see others i have to click on my avatar icon in the upper right corner and click on the "My portals" link, which shows all of the portals. We were about to integrate a file uploader to our project creation form to attach files to new projects in Zoho, but we saw this notification on the Documents API section: The Documents API will be deprecated as it will shortly be merged with Zoho Docs. This caused a big problem when trying to import same file Zoho Projects had created in the export - all of the dates *looked* good but they were text and had to be re-entered one at a time, as excel wouldn't reformat the fields from text to dates - it didn't know how. But this was the exact file that zoho projects had created. Developers need to fix this so that the export data in the date columns is indeed dates and not text. Ok - I just did an export from Zoho Projects - beautiful xls file to use. I revamped a few dates and added a few tasks in excel. Saved to CSV Went to import what I saved, and zoho projects doesn't recognize its own field names/column titles from the excel file it created - hmmmm.... hey guys - how about some standardization here - you should be able to map to your own field names. Hi Projects Support team, There is a problem with indenting and outdenting tasks and subtasks. If you add a task you cannot get the task to sit in the correct position within the project. Two obvious scenarios: i. If I create a task, then try to place it at a level between two other tasks, it becomes a subtask to either one of the tasks. This is completely wrong! ii. If I want to make it a task, then it has to be dropped at the top of the list - becoming a subtask to a header. iii. Reordering DOESNext Page
