Can we get the all users with roles assigned for whole portal through api ? Help in this ....4.0 Task updates / Notes (Comments) add / Email notifications
Hi: Kind of like 4.0 but wow you made a lot of sweeping changes. Like a different world out there. Overall too much User control as many have said. Hi, Is there an easier way to add an existing user to a new project or existing project? All of our staff are registered with Zoho Projects now. When we create a project and need to assign staff to a project, we need to: 1. Create a project 2. Go to all members, and manually edit which staff can access this project. Imagine if we have 10 staff to invite to 1 project, how much time we would waste it on inviting them. Is it possible to use the same task template across multiple projects? The task list will be same for the different projects, the only difference will be the dates. Seems silly if the projects follow same process to input the tasks over and over again, when only dates need to change. Also, is it possible to import a task list from say MS and than input dates once uploaded. Someone uploaded the same document twice in a folder - it has the exact same file name. How can I see which tasks have the documents related so I can remove the duplicate file and associate correctly within the correct task? The export task does not contain any document references. Hello, I received two messages that there has been an update to the prerelease 4.0 Projects regarding FORUM and DOCUMENT messaging. In a totally unrelated area, one key feature is no longer active. See image: I manage multiple projects. At the top left is the name of the project which when clicked offers a dropdown menu for me to quickly switch between projects and even land on the same tab in the correlary project. Today I woke up to work and this feature is not active. This IS a bug right?Forum post notification list gone?
When I go to create a new forum post in an existing project, I no longer see a list of project users from which I can choose who to include in the notification list for the post (causing an email to be sent to each user). The notification section is simply missing. Thinking that the option to choose users to notify would be offered when I clicked "submit", I tried that, and ALL project users received notifications (NOT what I wanted to happen). Two questions: With the new format ("New and Simple 4.0"), which is very nice, is there no longer any way to decide who gets notified of a new forum post? I just started using the new format and posted a message in the forum. I have no idea who receives it. Is it everyone (all users) on that project, does it depend on their user settings? I'm finding it impossible to work with the 4.0 Task Scheduler with my Project users who have IE. 1- When switching months, it switches multiple months with one click. 2- IF I can get on the right month, I click on it, but the wrong month gets registerd. Hi: In 3.0 if you click a 'Task' or 'Note' in the 'Activities across projects' home screen it takes you directly to the Project, the Task (within its Task List) and opens the Note for an additional comment. Excellent. In 4.0 if you click a 'Task' or or 'Note' in the 'Activities Stream' home screen it ONLY takes you to the 'Project' in Classic View. You have to scroll and go back and forth to figure out which Task, then open the Task to see the Notes in the right pop-up box, then scroll down toCan't see my projects in 4.0 ...

But when I log in on my windows laptop, I'm logged in with the same account, but as a free user. Currently, when a user clicks the title of a word processor or spreadsheet document in Zoho Projects, it initiates a download in DOC or XLS format. Below that, there's a small link that says "Open in Zoho Writer" or "Open in Zoho Sheet". Is it possible to set ALL word processor and spreadsheet documents to open in Zoho Writer or Zoho Sheet by default (i.e. when you click on the title)? Is Zoho Project free only good for one project? I'm new and started exploring yesterday and successfully created a project. Came back today and tried to create a new project but to no avail. Logged in, went to the project html link and got linked to the page view that I created yesterday. Kind of like a lot of stuff in 4.0 but as per my other post and many other people's comments there are a lot of issues, including a lot of 'User Empowerment' that somewhat defeats the purpose of Project Management. Some of the 'general collaboration' tools (tried them all) might get away with being 'social' but the true value of Zoho Projects is it is a LOT better than those other tools for 'real work'. First of all the sign up system is very cumbersome, making a user sign up with Zoho to access My projects. Any plans on changing that like you did for Zoho Support? Because of that, we do not use the "Client Access" feature. Aside from being cumbersome, there's confusing prompts in the process. 1. The welcome email that goes out gives an Email Address and Password 2. The welcome page you are directed to asks for a Username and Password. Gantt view enables to see full month calendar of tasks. In previous version of Zoho, when a user clicks on task in Gantt view, browser automatically gets redirected to classic view as well as it automatically scrolls down exactly where the task is located in the list and highlights the task. I'm hoping someone responds and tells me how I'm completely missing something but.... It would be very helpful if when you add a DropBox folder to ZHProjects, that it actually brought over the sub folders as well. I know this is possible, we had the functionality in TeamworkPM. We go through a lot of trouble to create sub folders for file organization only to have to 1. Create matching folders in ZH, sometimes dozens... then 2. Import/synch each one independently. Timesheet in Zoho Projects helps you big time in entering log hours for the tasks and issues and approving them. Now, with the new Time Log Restriction option, you can set daily and weekly log hour limits. You can restrict users from entering extra log hours than the permissible limit. The limits are restricted to 24 hours per day and 168 hours per week by default based on business hours. I believe that sorting of tasks helps managing the activities in a better fashion. You might second it too . By default, the tasks are listed chronologically. However, you can sort the tasks either by its title, start date, end date, priority, created by and percentage completion. All you have to do is, click the Task Sorting option and select the required criteria.
