How to set dependencies?
When I go into the dependency view and try and enter the task number of the predecessor it will not save in the task. Do I need to set something up to do that? Thanks! Johnwhat is the difference between duration 1 days and 0 days?
I'm not sure I understand what the difference is between 0 and 1 days duration. When using dependencies, my expectation was that I could assign some tasks with a 0 day duration and they would/could be due on the same day. But when I tried that by assigning a dependency to a task with the same date, but a 0 day duration, I couldn't do it and got a conflict error message.can I build a schedule with dependency feature?
The dependency feature is very handy if you need to revise a schedule that you have created - however you cannot build a schedule that way because you can't assign a dependency until you assign a date to a task. That seems a little bit backwards - it would be more efficient and user friendly if you could create a project, in particular a project template, where you could establish the 1) tasks, 2) duration of each task, 3) and the dependencies for each task without assigning a date. Hello Zoho, I'm writing because I have started putting together my yearly meeting schedule in Project and now noticed that the 4.0 version has a very clunky member selection interface. With the 3.0 version, I can select all members with one click, or I can select 5 members with 5 clicks, just by checking the boxes beside their names. With the 4.0 version, I must select each member, one at a time, with another click in between to open the member dialogue. To select all members, it's AVERSIVE. The system has changed so much from when I first signed up (for the better). But one thing I cannot find anymore is the option to create a client user. It used to be in the options when adding any user. Now its not, and when I go to look at user rolls it shows it on the list, but prompts me to sign up for another account? Hello, Is there any way of using email-to-forum to receive emails from unknown addresses? I am trying to collect notification emails from online services (Bitbucket in this first case) under a forum post, but it seems that only users with access to the project can send email to Zoho. I don't want to add the online services' email addresses to the project because then I have no way to prevent that account from accessing the whole project's data. Hi, When I'm in the "Classic View" of Project X and drop down the Milestones filter, it shows ALL milestones, not just the milestones for Project X. If a milestone from Project A is selected there is nothing to show. It doesn't quite make sense to me to include milestones from other than the active project in the milestones filter dropdown. ZP4 seems excellent. But to be in a league with more famous software, I think it would help to have stronger search capabilities. The current search features seem very basic or lower. (For example, not surprisingly, it is typically effortless to find anything within any Google document, anywhere in comments, gdocs, etc. Same for Word, Outlook and about every other program our small company uses regularly.) In ZP4 it's too hard to deal with big comments. It's not easy to scroll down within a long group of comments. The scroll area is very small, hidden, and finicky. Page down does not seem to work. The design seems to force short comments even when the user does not want to use short comments. Also, when writing a long comment, the textbox input window is very tiny, does not enlarge well, and has a tiny font. Shouldn't ZP make it easier to use long comments and long chains of comments, for bigger andcan not move one task to another task list

For some reason since the new changes to zoho projects, every time we create a new forum an email is sent to everyone involved in the project, even if the announcement box is not ticked. zCRM integration with zProject is great. It picks the account/contact and creates the project in zProject. However when you select "DISPLAY PROJECT BY CLIENT" in zProject it does not show it by client unless you back change primary client. Step 1. When you create a project via zCRM if you view in project under CLIENT USER you will see Then you need to change this by re-selecting the same contact Once you change it shows in RED. Hello, I am brand new to ZP and thought I posted about this but do not see the post anywhere so am trying again. I have been all over the internet watching tutorials and none of them match up to what I'm seeing on my screen when I get into ZP. Hello, I just subscribed yesterday and have been all over the internet looking for tutorial videos for ZP. After sometime / some days the users no longer show up in the user list for the project. 4. Is it possible to use the same task template across multiple projects? The task list will be same for the different projects, the only difference will be the dates. Seems silly if the projects follow same process to input the tasks over and over again, when only dates need to change. Hello, I received two messages that there has been an update to the prerelease 4.0 Projects regarding FORUM and DOCUMENT messaging. In a totally unrelated area, one key feature is no longer active. See image: I manage multiple projects. At the top left is the name of the project which when clicked offers a dropdown menu for me to quickly switch between projects and even land on the same tab in the correlary project. When I go to create a new forum post in an existing project, I no longer see a list of project users from which I can choose who to include in the notification list for the post (causing an email to be sent to each user). The notification section is simply missing. Thinking that the option to choose users to notify would be offered when I clicked "submit", I tried that, and ALL project users received notifications (NOT what I wanted to happen).
