Hello, I have just started using Zoho creator and it looks like a great tool. Unfortunately, due to mu inexperience with such tools I am already having a problem as follows... I have created 2 forms (Classes and NewCharacter). On the NewCharacter form there are several fields, one of which is Constitution. Can forms do nested lookups?
Hi all, I'm new, my first post here. I'm trying to do nest lookups, meaning you have to select an option from drop down box #1, before you can select from the next drop down box #2, before box #3, etc. An example, you have to select a country, before you can select a state, before you can select a city, etc. As it stands now, my linking isn't right. More buttons for actions in the update/edit of a record
First, In a view I've got edit - view for a record. when I click on view, I'd like a print button. Search ONLY by Month
Hi everyone, In my zoho creator I hav a application which contains a form and a view with Birthday field. When trying to filter my search for people who born in July of anny year (for exemple), zoho can't match, because it is only searching people who born in July of this year (2010). Possible to view notes field and a form view?
Hello All, I am working on a form that has 5 different sections. These sections have titles for example Section 1, Section 2 etc. I used the "Add Notes" field in the form but since I am not adding data for this field it will not show in the forms view. Does anyone have a suggestion that will resolve this? Because of the number of questions answered in the form, I need to separate each section. Thanks for your help.

Although the developer guide is o.k., I'd like a reference manual that I can download and print out with all the functions, scripts, examples and such so that I can read it. It is very difficult to find the function or call or object that I need for my programing. A list of what is possible would be super helpful. A PDF would be awesome.

Difficulty with free version. Especially with reports.
I have just started trying the free version and find it not very friendly. Not very transparent. How to make reports out of single records for example is not obvious. This is a basic need in all databases. I know that you are trying to sell the more advanced version but how do I know if this is a common problem with all of your soft ware. Thanks.
Changing column names
I've changed 3 of my data column names in order to "blind" the data. When I look at my Results Page, the column names haven't changed. How do I fix that?
Replace commas as separation for multiple entry fields
Multiple entries in a checkbox field are always separated by a comma in the list views. Is there a way to make it so the separator is not a comma, but something else (a semicolon, for example)?

A bug in Creator's Reports
Hi, In Creator's build-in Reports (pivot table), when a filter uses a string field value with accented letters (ex: "Réalisé"), which are common in French, saving and using the report fails. This is strange since the very same report created in Zoho Reports (not Creator) has no problem handling accented letters. Thanks
When I set Criteria for a View, the View doesn't apply it
When I edit certain views to filter out criteria, the views don't adjust themselves when I go back and view the application. For example, I have a Criteria set to not display records with the Status Type: "Ongoing," because I only want to see projects, not ongoing duties. It still shows all the records. On the other hand, I have a second Criteria for the SAME view that says not to show "Complete" projects, and that one works perfectly. Am I only allowed one criteria setting per View?
Count function to identify duplicates
I've been using the count function to identify duplicate records from several fields in a form. I've used && between count formulae to indicate each field value must be identical to those of an existing record for a duplicate to be identified. However this seems to have the behaviour of identifying any record that has a field value identical to the one specified in the new record. How would I adapt this to ensure all field values in the new record are identical to one and only one previous record?
Attached file Problem
Attached files don't seem to work. They appear to upload, but when you go into the form they are just listed as names not as links to the files.
Invalid Entry -> java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
I created a form which asks for a variety of text, numbers, and picklists, and upon hitting submit I get "Invalid entries found. Please correct and submit again." and at the bottom it displays "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException". However, the record is still added to the database with all of the information.... Any thoughts on what is causing this or how to fix it? I have other forms in the same application that ask for similar information, yet they work perfectly. Thanks in advance Richard
Filter Date Fields by Nil values
I have a form with a date field called "confirmed". I would like to set up a view where results are filtered by an empty or nil value for the date field. I have tried to set custom == "" which failed silently and nil apparently is not a primative construct in the deluge scripting syntax. Is there any efficient way to filter form objects with a nil date field?
I have forms associated with different projects. Can I have a different admin.userid associated with different forms?
As an example, suppose I had ITmanager@mycompany.com as userid, and also had projectmanager@mycompany.com as a userid. For my IT forms, I want the email notification sent from ITmanager@mycompany.com but for my project tracking forms, I want email notification sent from projectmanager@mycompany.com. Is this possible?
Transfering applications to a different account
Hi, I made an application for a business colleague and I would like to transfer that application to their account. I am no longer employed by this business, and would like to give them the application so I can get it out of my apps. Please let me know, if anyone has any ideas on how to accomplish this. Sluggish Apps after time
Hi, a couple of things.... 1) love the recent changes and the addition of reports etc - very awesome! 2) I've noticed over time that my Zoho Application becomes "sluggish", almost like it's hanging on to fragments of records when they are changed or deleted. I duplicated the application and re-imported my data and it was zippy quick again for a while then eventually became sluggish again. It's not the end of the world to have to do a re-load like this, but didn't know if anyone had mentioned it and
Moving Apps Between Accounts
Is there some way to move an application I made in my personal account to one that my boss uses? She wanted me to make a draft of the application for her before she approved its use. I didn't think ahead to the fact that she would want a separate account with a more appropriate username (I used my first initial and last name). Is there some way to either change my username and password or move the application to the other account? I have spent the past 3 days making it, so I'd rather not make it
Import Function not working properly
The importing data function does not appear to be working properly. To test the functionality, I went to my "Orders View" and exported one of the orders that had been entered in directly through the external link we direct people to. I then turned right back around and tried to import that same order, only changing the Order ID field and it says that a mandatory field was left blank and the import cannot happen. Hi, I can't see any answer to this on the help guide or forums. I have developed a form in zoho creator. I have no problems customizing and embedding this in my website. Urgent: Form Schedules do not time correctly (GUI time != Free-flow Scripting time)
I have a Form Schedule entitled "Confirmation". Under the "When to do?" section I use the form field "EmailTime" to set the schedule. Creating app from .csv file, there is no 'finish button'
Whenever I want to create an application from a .csv file, I copy the information on the file, but when I click on the "create now button " it says: "We have identified 'Field Type' based on your data. Report does not display calculated result
I created three fields: A, B and C. A - B = C. So C is the result of a calculation of entered data A and B. When I view the table in Data View, I see A and B, as well as C correctly calculated.
