"On Load" for views, or a timer-based table refres
I don't know if it's possible, but could there be the equivalent of an "On Load" function for views? I have some formulas which use zoho.currentdate to evaluate, and it would be nice to be able to be able to update all the records in a view when it is displayed or refreshed. In fact, it would be nice if there were some way of setting up an refresh timer for tables containing fields and/or formulas dependent on system time/date variables.

Hello, we've made a 135 question survey application for our church. When we try to embed it in our html, half or sometimes none of the questions appear on the page at all? We have no real background in this at all? the application works great, but getting it to show in a web page is the issue. we've tried the permalink, which seems to work, but not sure if that's the proper way to go. We've shared access with ZOHO. The application is "Church Health Survey. Quite honestly we're not 100% sure this

Say I want to create a recruitment application. I would have linked applications of Candidates and Companies. Candidates would contain various bits of info about the candidates including their current company. Can I design it so that the Companies application has a list of Candidates who work their and have it so that when I select a company inside my Candidates application (as the current company they work at) that the candidate's name automatically shows up in the Companies application?

How do I NOT allow export of my data?
I have several views I want to share so I have made them public. However, I have noticed that when you filter or search in those views, an export feature is enabled so that the user can download the data. I do not want this to happen. How do I prevent this? Thank you.
client edit data in a form
Is there a way to retrieve data from the database and let the user edit the info? eg lets say the user needs to update their contact details, can they add say their name and a passcode into a form and have their existing details presented in another form for them to edit, and for it to be submitted back to the database (so that a duplicate record is not created). hello, Zoho is really great, thanks for your hardwork. but unfortunatly every time I try to use it to create a form or a survey, I can't. Here are my feedbacks: -Matrix is a much needed field: http://www.sds2k.homeip.net/cbhelp/images/Field-Permission-Role-Matrix.jpg -the possibility to break the form into 2/3 or more page will avoid too much scrolling -the possibility to randomize items order in a question, in order to avoid biais -"on user action" is not availabe for checkboxes or "multi select"
Locking Applications
Hi. I just want to say that I love the Zoho creator. I use it many many times each day and I love the sharing part of it. The only concern I have is how easy it is to delete an application. Is there any way that you can ask for a password, or have some kind of locking mechanism on the application so that I if I accidentally click delete I won't lose everything? I have a shared creator app embedded in a web site. When the embedded app is viewed changing its sort order changes the sort order seen by other viewers. I would like the sort order to be the same whenever it is first viewed. Can this be achieved? Jon
Making a field required dynamically
Hi- This is what I'm trying to accomplish: I have Field 1, a radio button, with answers of Yes or No. If the user clicks Yes, I want Field 2 to display, and I want Field 2 to be required...but only if Field 2 is displayed. Right now, here's what happens: The form loads with Field 1 showing, Field 2 hidden. If the user clicks Yes for Field 1, Field 2 appears. But the problem is, if the user clicks No for Field 1, Field 2 doesn't appear; and when they click Submit, they get an error that says "Field

Hi, How come there is no ZoHo Creator forum for asking technical questions or getting help from the community for developer questions? I really need a FAQ, and General Help. Trying to create a rotation of order in my deluge scripting
My database is as follows: I have two forms (call them F1 and F2), both of which have Name, Email, and Zip Code fields. Currently, I have it set up so that when a record is submitted in F2, and if the Zip Codes for F1 and F2 match, the record with the matching Zip Code in F1 receives an email. But here's the problem. Sometimes more than one record in F1 has a matching ZipCode. As it stands right now, if 3 records in F1 match a Zip Code in F2, the record with the earliest "Added Time" always receives
Hyperlinks, File Locations, and Drive maps
In our private database, we want to have links to files inside our intranet. The files are not on a web-page, but in a shared drive. For example: \\drive08\docs\atn\ansi2\default\02522700.pdf or file://drive08/docs/atn/ansi2/default/00927701.pdf These do not appear as clickable links in the application. I have tried to use both a plain text field and URL field. Both of these "links" work when I paste them into Internet Explorer. Is there a trick to making these clickable?

date time bug still corrupting data entry
I'm still getting times and dates changing after I enter them. Each class is appearing one day later than the date I entered, and at 4:00:00 rather than the time I entered, 20:00:00. You wrote me earlier saying the bug was fixed, but it is not. I've tried 3 copies of this application and the bug keeps reappearing. Please respond. chandra
Update and Cancel Problem
In views, when I am signed in as administrator, I get the expected "Update" and "Cancel" buttons upon clicking Edit. However, when I sign in under my test account, I get "Update" and "Reset".
Column Width
How do I change the width of single line entry boxes? For example, I want a box for entering only a two digit number for ordering a quantity of college year books, so it would look better if the that box were smaller than the ones used for names and addresses. artlewis

Using the Time function and simplifying it...is it possible?
i am attempting to develop an application to sync students with classes. I have a form for student info and creating another for class info. the classes are scheduled in 15 min increments MON thru FRI like: class#1 length:one hour class time 6:45pm weekday:fri class#2 length:45 min class time 7:45pm weekday:fri How can i use the time date function just for the time function and also limit it to 15 min increments? I presume i have to use the Time-Date field in order to get a calendar view. please
date time field used as lookup still not working properly
I posted this a few days ago. A datetime field entered on one field with 20:00:00 as the time on one form is still showing up as 12:00:00 on the second form. I really need this to work. chandra

Setting Criteria Based on Radio Button on Different Form
I have multiple forms for keeping track of some computers. A check in form, testing, specs etc. Once the testing is done I would like to toggle a radio button from current to non-current which will remove the customers name from all the forms. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Number formatting
Because we do not have number formatting yet, I have a text field where I format a number. This occurs when the user changes the value of the number. The problem I have is when the user deletes the number field entirely. I have not been able to detect that, and the text field remains what it was under the previous value.
