One input field constant in all forms within same applicatio
I have multiple forms, say A, B, C, D and E. In Form A, the user inputs fields "Name", "Email address" and "Mobile_number". I dont want the user to input these fields in Forms B, C, D and E. Instead, as soon as he finishes inputing data into Form A, I would like one Field, say "Email address" to be the link for all the Forms B, C, D and E. As soon as the user goes into Form B, on input, I would like Zoho Creator to access/Fetch the "Email address" from Form A, and input into Form B. Same with Form

I have designed zoho form and created link to zoho form from my course web site. Link works fine, but the spreadsheet shows up with the form. In other words, everyone entering data into the form can see everyone else's entries. How can I hide the spreadsheet so I can access when needed. lesli_a_adler

Hi I was wondering if there is a way to do the following: 1. User fills out Form A 2. User hits "Submit" button 3. System loads the data, shows success message 4. User is taken directly to Form B, and so on... Is this possible?
PDF export as mail attacment
Hi, Just wondering is this is possible. When a recorded is added, amended or deleted the application user receive an email update. I would also like them to receive a PDF of all record (amedned or updated) in the email at the same time. Is this possible. Thanks in advance, John

Can't See Form Field Instructions
What is the point of the instructions field in defining a form if they can't be viewed? I don't see them either in running the application "natively" or when it is embedded in another web page. I've looked here in the forums and in the help and in Creator itself and I don't see where to specify that they get displayed. TIA, :: Clay

Any plans to have a database value and a display value for dropdowns? So instead of US state values being: Alabama Florida Georgia They would be AL FL GA but would display the same the full names and store the abbreviations. You would need to give us the ability to specify the display value and the database value Display Value | Database Value _____________ | ____________ _____________ | ____________ ... Which works great for dropdowns with 50 or less values. For larger dropdowns, also need dropdowns
APIs not working
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I cannot get the client api to work. It displays everything properly but will not create a record. Also, when I test the get api, it says success, but never shows any results. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help! Brian schedules
data in date time field used as lookup keeps changing

Multi page form with one ID (identifier) common to all forms
I have an application with multiple Forms - Form A, Form B, Form C and Form D. I want one ID or identifier to be common to all four forms, say username. But I dont want users to type username everytime in every form. Lookup Field creates a dropdown menu...which I dont want. Is there a way Form B automatically Loads the username from Form A?
Import values associated with lookup to second form
Hi My aim is to make two forms, the second of which people will enter additional info to complete each record. data from Form 2 is matched from Form 1 using a Lookup field and displayed in a Combined View. Is it possible to bring in to Form 2 a second field from Form 1 whose value is from the record the user has chosen in the Lookup field? This value will not be displayed, but used in a formula. applying a record restriction in a view after a grouping
hello- i'm working on a simple team status update tool, where a member of a team can update the status of thier team (open/closed), and others can view the status of the teams (4 teams total). One mandatory field reports no data when populated
Hi, I have a simple data entry form that allows entry of around 8 different fields. When using Firefox (2.0.0.14) one of the mandatory fields (venue) consistently reports an error when trying to submit, saying a value must be entered, even though a perfectly valid value has been entered OK. Other users of the form have reported the same issue. Seems OK in AOL (IE7). Is there a known Firefox issue? Please advise if you need more info. Also had problems with the security code not being accepted so

Trouble closing the deal
I have created my form and my form results view. Now the problems come in taking them to my web site and making them work together. When I submit the form, the form data doesn't get to the form view on my web site. It does get to the form view here on Zoho's web site. Also, after the user clicks 'Submit' the "Your reservation is confirmed' statement flies by so quickly that it is unreadable. Also, I want to take the submitter to a 'thank you' page but I haven't been able to accomplish that either.

I really like zoho, but it is really a pain to embbed it in my website!!! Only if we could adjust some little things, like spacing, width and height size, font color it would be just perfect!!! bsufscar

We are planning to build a production grade application in Creator and would like to know what is the maximum volume of data that we can plan for ? is there a physical limit MB ? GB ? or does the limit depend on the performance that our application can tolerate in terms of speed of response. thanks

A data collection application needs to be made public as otherwise how will nonZoho users enter data ... but making the application public makes the data collected available to the public as well [ at least theoretically !! though in reality it would be quite difficult ] request that zoho add the facility in which some data entry forms are made public and the rest of the application stay private.

Application no longer available
After spending a couple of hours creating my first application, I walk away from the computer for dinner. Upon returning, I add a new form and when I try to access the application, I get a "There is no such form." I know, serves me right for getting out of my chair to eat. I logged out and logged back in. I can't get to the application by clicking on its name in the Home view - I get an "You are not authorised to access this application in Zoho Creator" error. However, I CAN edit it. What gives?
Only day and month
Hello, I made a form with the date of birth from persons (and also their adress, phonenumber,etc). What I want to do now is to use this date, but only the day and month, and not the year, so that I can sort that list and only have their birthday during the year. When I sort now on the DOB, I first get the oldest one (or the youngest), but I want to see when a birthday is due during the year (for example: who's birthday is in May). Excel & PDF Export Formatting
Let me just say that this application is fantastic, thank you! I have few questions though: 1. When I export to Excel, the xls file made is so unformatted! I need to be able to: a) set column width b) format the numbers from scientific (e.g 2.129E7) to normal (212,900,000). c) have the title line (column titles) in different style (e.g. color). It becomes a hassle for the users to reformat it manually to be able to use it. 2. Also in PDF scientific numbers and very wide pages create a lot of problem

I am brand new to the API scene. I was able to get an XML response from the server. I also figured out how to parse an XML file in PHP. time calculations
Is there a way to automatically calculate the amount of hours between two user submitted times filled in two separate fields and have that calculation automatically filled into a third field? If not is this a function that will be made available at a later date? vilhelm
Valid Email Address check
Getting a lot of user errors when they type in their email address. It's great that the Email field type will validate email format but is there anything verify that the address is valid? If nothing built in, to catch typos, I can have the user enter their email again in a second field but I can't figure the correct script to use in the field validation to compare that the first and the second fields must match exactly, to continue on. Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.

Math Functions broken?
I've been trying do something like "input.Sub_Total = (input.Sub_Total + 2.25)" but this doubles the number to equal 4.5, and if applied twice, it makes 6.75, etc. Shouldn't it work, as all I'm really telling it to do is "x=x+2"?
