Hi. I want to be able to customize the text in a note using client side scripting, based on what has so far been entered, in a way that is a little more sophisticated than Hiding/showing different notes. Is this on the roadmap/possible already and I don't know it? num3472

Bug: Blank E-mail as a repeated entry.
I checked the "no duplicate entries" in my E-mail contact field and it works, but when I add a contact without an email zoho takes the blank space as an "duplicated entry". So I've been unable to add more contacts without emails (which field is not a mandatory requirement for my contacts). Please fix that. Thank you. fitnet

Hello, I have no programming or DB experience and signed up to create a Workorder app with Creator. I was able to create the form easily enough but in the process of adding logic I am concerned with the complexity. Your help documentation is extremely difficult to read and understand. Even though it says that there is no programming experience needed I find it impossible to add the simple logic to my app because I cannot get clear answers. I am a complete novice when it comes to building applications.

variable in URL after submitting form
I have a form where I get a variable from the URL. kind of like /form/Proposal_ID=001 I created a script whereby if the form is accessed again with the same Proposal_ID there will be a message saying there is already an entry, and a link to see that entry. I also have part of the script an error message if the Proposal_ID is missing from the URL. API XML-RPC Read/Write Field Added_Time
Hello, When I read the field Added_Time with the XML-RPC API, it only returns a date, not a time and a date. When I write to the field Added_Time in a similar way, it only accepts the date, and not the time. The time is set to 00:00:00.
Tabbed Urls and Null Values
This doesn't actually affect usability, but maybe something is amiss somewhere else. When I click on an application at http//creator.zoho.com and it goes to the tabbed layout page, all of the links at the top have null in them, such as http://creator.zoho.com/flight16/null/Backup%20Views/ However, if I click _any_ link, once the page loads to that tab, the problem will be fixed: http://creator.zoho.com/flight16/japanese-knowledge/Backup%20Views/ I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.11 on Windows.
No duplicate entries on email bug
We have checked "No duplicate entries" on our E-mail view for Marketing Contacts and it works, but when we want to add a new contact with NO email address it wouldn't let us, because it says the email is repeated. (And there is no email, so it must be confusing the empty field as an repeated email). fitnet

events between to date
I have a DB with records that have a "EXPIRY" field. How do I specify a criteria for a view that will return those records ending in the next seven days, (Expiry == (zoho.currentdate + '0W:1D:0H:0M:0S') || Expiry == (zoho.currentdate + '1W:1D:0H:0M:0S')) does not work and the result would not return those already expired but only those expiring in the next 7 days something like "between >= today and <= today+7" Thank you Alain D. for each in getting executed twice
Sorry if this has been reported. I feel like I've seen a post like this somewhere before. My for each x in Form[] loops execute the code inside twice, but only for the last result (or if there is only one result). I didn't notice this behavior before the maintenance that happened a few days ago.

Views are not accessible anymore

Delete All Redirects to Application Menu
Hello, When I am in list view and select the checkbox at the top to select all entries for the current page and then click the "delete" button, and confirm, it redirects me back to the main Creator / application menu. I must click on the application and then click on the view to get back to the view where I was before I deleted the records. I'm using Safari 3.0.4 on OS X 10.4.11. Thanks.
Format of form entries
Is there any way to change the length of the input fields on the form? When I embed the form in my web site, the length of the form field space is too long. Is there a way to shorten it up? Also, any way to change the fonts?
Scripting problem with for each
I'm having problem running a script based on the simple booking shared app. I am trying to use the following script on validate: for each reservation in Booking_Form { if ((reservation.field11 != null) && (input.field11 != null)) { alert "not available"; cancel submit; } } field11 is a checkbox in the form. I basically want it to reject a submission if a previous submission had that fields checkbox also checked. It keeps returning an error that reservation is null. Any help?

Is the information submitted on the form secure? If I want to collect personal info such as social security numbers, is the information sbumitted encrypted or secure in other means? Thanks

I cannot find the screen to define permissions by shared user - I want most users to have access to a generic view, with a few managers having access to a separate view with all fields viewable? thanks lentegra.btr
Unable to create new application
Hi folks, In the last three days (since Sunday, 9th Dec), I have been unable to Create a New Application. Two different error messages appear, according to the web browser I am using. For Firefox, an error message appears saying that Creator was unable to create an application, and instructing to come back later. For Internet Explorer, the web browser issues a popup saying that it is unable to download the site in the address which was furnished. Please help. I am in Brazil. Renato Sabbatini

Here's my top wishlist for ZOHO (Besides a more intuitive list functionality for this forum) * Subforms * CSS Class Field (under 'Options' when creating field) * Global Variables * A Deluge script command to "reset" a lookup field to it's original state (so I don't have to reload dropdowns back to their original list) * Ability to remove a form/view from tab layout without deleting it * A Field type of "Button" where "On User Input" would be a click - this alone would help provide a temporary workaround

Spiderweb chart : invert column and rows
I have forms that have fields used to compare the different records. Would it be possible to have the fields of a form as branches of the spiderweb chart and records as surfaces on the chart ? Each time a record is submitted it would add a surface and not a branch. That is : can we invert rows and columns in the charts views ? Hi, i am trying to get my customer details to show up on a repair form, I have created the repair form, and the customer form I want to be able to type in a customer number and all the details will appear in the repair form based on the customer number how can I do this?
new bug in script using count() function
When attempting to import a Deluge script to create an application, this line: lC = count(Location[unique_id == e.unique_id]); Is resulting in: Error in statement at line number 1614 Though the column is unique, the operator does not check for equality, so the statement might return more than one row. This statement used to work fine and the error message looks new to me. Can someone explain what the trouble is? Thanks in advance. -pete
One to Many
I have a question about one-to-many relationships between forms. I am creating a claims database for my company. I have a claims table setup with all of the fields that are needed. I also have a notes form setup. Each claim can have many notes attached to it (one-to-many). How can I link to two in Creator?!? Is this even possible? I know I can do lookups with dropdown and what not.
Problem with embedded forms with Lookup fields
I have a form with a required Lookup field. It works great when I'm using it in ZohoCreator. When I paste the form into a webpage though, that Lookup field seems to lose it's data selection and is not saved in the database. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
