Since you already have a parser it wouldn't be too difficult to create a function that would act like a macro. string.calc() where string could be any mathematical expression including input.field(s) and declared variables. :) richardson.christopher

I create an aplication. Fill in al the information i want. press the layout button. create a new tab. call it "overview" and drag the "view" part of the database over to this tab. i cannot view this tab because i get an error message saying "You are not authorised to access this application in Zoho Creator. Go to Home" i tried changing acces from private to public but still get the same message. even tried siging in and out trying again. mr.alexandro
Tabs in forms + mulitilangsupport
What a wonderfully polished app. Been playing with it for some hours, but what I really miss: - tabs in forms - multiple language support on text data (e.g. when I have two offices, one in UK, one in Spain, text boxes, drop downs, etc. should display English or Spanish descriptions, depending on user profile language. So your bug tracking app. should display 'Open|CLosed' in English, but 'Abierto|Cerrado' in Spanish ( and the app. language could display another language, like the field name: 'Status'

I click on PDF output, Save the file. Then I try to do it again (export data choices window still open), I get an error message (no matter which output I choose). chris

Zoho Creator
When I edit records that are already inputed, one field is always deleted. It happens on any computer and on different platforms and OS's. It does not affect the data being inputted but only when I edit it. Not good when I am trying to keep my data as clean as possible! Any help in this matter would be great! hokewilcox
Validation Problem
After submit of the form in the on add / on Validate clause I get an error at the page if all validations are correct. The data is stroed in the database, but I can't get the success screen.
Dynamically filter data by URL
It would be nice if there was a way to dynamically filter data in a form view based on a customized URL. I can think of two ways this could be useful... Single-record filter: When a user enters data into the form, they can automatically be e-mailed a confirmation message. It would be nice if there was a way to include a link for them to click on that would enable them to view and/or edit the item they just submitted (without having to search for it). embed
The embed code is really bad. Let me embed and let my users sort without asking for a Zoho Id. If I click search and then cancel, it asks for a Zoho id. This should have been done long ago. C'mon guys. And get rid of the horizontal scroll bar which appears in embed. ricardobarrera
sharing problems
I'm having problems sharing access to others. So far, I've followed the instructions and the messages have been received. strange zoho.loginuserid being added
Hi having been using this app for some time with no problem. Suddenly when my users update the Add_New_Contact form the firstname field gets set to zoho.loginuserid for no real reason? There is no code in my application to do this!! Also it has been working fine and I haven't changed anything - suddenly this has started happening. on success events w/ sendmail don't update imported records

Data Save Problem - My Last and First Name Saves to Every Ne
My database: http://creator.zoho.com/mcgeepj2/f-106-delta-dart-alumni-database/ My Last Name (McGee) and First Name (Patrick) is over-writing and saving as a default value into the last and first name fields of any new record I create or existing record I update. There is no default data setup for those two fields. How did this happen and how do I clear it? Every record I open and try and update is overwritten with my Last and First Name! Date Picker hidden behind other fields
When creating a form and filling it in, I find when clicking a Date field Date Picker, the popup appears, but it appears behind fields that are below it that happen to be long enough to obscure the popup (if that makes sense)! Is there a way you can set the popup to appear "On Top" pf all other fields so it doesnt get hidden? Add administrative rights
For me it would be extremely useful to be able to allow other users of your application to have administrative rights, that is, be able to modify the application. Currently I'm just finishing an application for a non-profit, and will soon be leaving the state. There is an employee there who is quite computer savvy and could take over maintenance of the application. There will definitely be changing needs to the application over time, and the employee could easily handle things like adding new fields,
ZohoCreator wont save my field data
OK, thanks my project is at least visible again. Now I am back to where I started, which is to try and enter data on my forms. Any data, any form doesn't matter. I can't make it save or store any data that I enter into the various fields from the keyboard. All I get is this silly error message, to wit: "We are unable to fetch this data, sorry! Populating field in one table from another form
I've looked around the forums a bit and have not found this subject expressly addressed. I have a Client form with a multiple line field for jobs associated with this client. I have a Jobs form that details the specifics of various jobs (all unique and assigned to a specific client). Trouble Editing "Article Database" Application
All week I have been having problems editing views in my application "Article Database." Duplicating views frequently leads to an error asking me to refresh and "kindly try again" Creating new views often result in a screen that says "There is no such view in Zoho Creator." Setting Properties frequently pops up an error reading "Setting Properties Failed. Please try after some time or refresh the page and try again." The errors are frequent enough to make workign on the application nearly impossible.

Cannot edit last field in a form if list is long
Hi, This bug occurs when I create a field with multiple options (ex. checkboxes) and place it at the end of the form. Here's what I did: 1) Created a field with 7 checkbox options. 2) Put the field at the end of the form. 3) To edit the field, I moused over the Edit icon. 4) The edit/delete menu displayed above the field, too far away to select it, since the menu display is based on mouseover behavior linked to the field. Create a check register
Hi: I am trying to make a check register in Creator but the formula of "previous balance - payments + deposits" isn't really feasible because the previous balance is not a field.
