Email integration and Zoho free edition
Hi. I have been reading through and find the FAQs and pricing sheets confusing as they mention emails and then say not available! Can you let me know in the FREE edition can i link my Google Apps account to it and sync mail to the Zoho contacts? The pricing sheet says Zoho Mail is not included yet on 'https://www.zoho.com/crm/help/zoho-mail/send-and-receive-emails.html' it says FREE edition includes 200 emails per day? My friend is setting up his business and I suggested starting with Zoho free
Backup in free version
Hi We are currently using the free version of zoho crm (we are/will be using paid versions of zoho expenses and zoho people) The comparison page for the versions says that the free versions doesn't have back ups, where as standard has 2 per month. What does a backup mean in this sense? Does this mean that the data in the free version of zoho crm may be lost and be non-recoverable given that is not explicitly backed up, or does this mean something else? Thanks Jonny

Definitions
We are struggling with knowing when to assign a connection as a "Contact" a "Lead" or "Account". I have rad the definitions on your help menu. When I first make a connection at a tradeshow should I enter it as a Contact or a lead? Should contacts always be attached to a lead or account? Do they convert? Thanks!

Customize search results layout
How can I customize the information that displays in the search results. I can get the contacts and results that I want but I canot see on that search results page the information that I want to see without having to click through and open the item. I want the search results page to show "relevant" information for me. I saw one post which said it was Setup>Customozation>SearchLayouts but I do not have that showing at all. I have >modules showing but Search is not one of the modules.

crazy little symbols in template design
I am trying to edit my inventory template. The header section has squares at the boundaries like a section or object might. I can use these to resize that area. Inside that area, there are little circles with X's and arrows . What are these?????? And what do I do with them?? I have tried clicking on all parts of them. Can't seem to make sense of them. What do they do - besides annoy me :) ? I searched help and see no mention of anything other than field codes.

Hi people, I was just wondering what would be the best way to format a phone field. Currently we can end up with all different types of separators when scanning business cards, some examples being: Landline: 61 - 7 - 43211234 617.4321.1234 Mobile: (041) 234-1234 The goal being to remove all of these erroneous characters. Automatically changing Field Name
When I'm on the layout page of the module Accounts. There is a field 'Bedrijf Nummer' (I've translated the CRM to Dutch). When I actually go to the page where I can add a new Account, the fieldname is changed to 'Bedrijf Aantal'. This is very (very!) confusing. Why is this?

Calculate Two Date Fields And Then Workflow
Hello i have a difficult time to understand how to create a certain workflow. I use quotes module as Prescription. I have created two date fields. First Valid From(Prescription) Second Valid Until(Prescription) So if i choose From 12/5/2016 Until 12/7/2016 This is means that the perscriptions is valid for 2 Months. Now i want to create a workflow that it will be triggered from this calculation. 2 Months 3 months 4 Months etc And a task or event or alert to be created 10 days before prescription expired.

Is this something done in a calendar? or an excel file? Or, is each night, in each room, it's own "product"? By that I mean a week's stay in one room would show the client purchasing 7 products (nights)? Just not sure best way to track inventory. It's best if its visual, similar to a calendar. Users can't' verify their accounts
I'm using CRM and Tasks/Projects. When I add a new user, the person gets a link, but when they follow the link they are asked to create a new account and a trial of the Zoho software. I need them to be able to log in and activate their accounts. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Insert Leads Rejected

In the Potential module it has a stage history that tracks each change as the potential progresses. Is there a way to view a change log for quote, sales orders, or invoices to track any changes to the record?

Combining three names by using formula fied
I have three fields. 1st field is first name, 2nd field is last name and 3rd field is middle name. How can I combine three separate fields into one with an additional character which is a comma (,). For example, 1st field: James 2nd field: Andrews 3rd Fied: Jack. I want an output the looks like this: Andrews, James Jack. I want to do this because normally when a lead is converted to potential everything gets combined. Except for the middle name.

Hello, we have started using ZOHO CRM recently and I am now setting all things up including necessary customization. The point where I got stuck is configuration of email alerts. Whatever rule I create, it creates tasks with no problem. When I change the rule to send email alerts instead, I receive no messages in my mailbox. Keep mails in CRM of people who leave the company
Hi, We're facing a problem in Zoho CRM. We love the IMAP integration but we're now having some employees leaving the company and we have the following problems: - If the user gets deactivated in Zoho CRM, his emails will not be shown by other users anymore - We can't close the mailbox otherwise mails will not synchronize anymore and we will loose the mail history I'm sure this is a problem shared by many users.
