Mass update 40 000 contacts information
Hi, I wants to update couple custom fields (including multi-select) 40,000 contacts in crm monthly. I need to: Export CRM Contacts in a spreadsheet Modify my data Put the new values in CRM I successed doing it with a creator app but it's not working with more than 2-3,000 records. Insert into Leads then Send Auto Response ASP.NET

Will ZOHO AOI allow me to integrate with Sales Orders and Purchase Orders in ZOHO CRM?
I am going to build an outside invoicing/ purchase order application that will assign the product #s in a way consistent with my industry. From the ZOHO API can I import the invoices into ZOHO CRM and then export the customer approved Invoice to QuickBooks? In the notes it says there is no integration available with ZOHO CRM Invoices/purchases orders -- is this true? Are there any workarounds that will make this configuration possible? Formula field values vanish after updating fields using the API
Hello, We are using the API to update fields within our jobs (potentials) records. There are also some custom formula fields that use the fields we are updating. When the fields are updated, the evaluated values on the formula fields vanish. To get them to show up again, the potentials record must be re-saved, which is not ideal. For example, we have 2 custom fields on the potentials records: - Hours Logged - Hours remaining We then have a custom formula field with the following formula: = Hours
Internal Server Error - CRM API
When submitting an insertRecord request with an invalid TICKET I am getting a (500)Internal Server Error and not the expected 4500 error. Also I am allowed to submit an insertRecord with a invalid APIKEY.
Problem exporting invoices
We need to export all created invoices, to do it we go to "Config / Data Administration / Export", we choose "Export Invoices" and a CSV it is created. The problem it is that the only info on CSV are the header from the invoices but not the detail lines. How can we export all info ( header and detail lines ) from each invoice ????

Error handling of insertRecords
The insertRecords API method returns a response. If there is an error, can i know what is the reason for the error. For example: invalid email format or alphabets in a phone number, or field does not exist etc. How do I catch errors and propagate to the user or the troubleshooter? Thanks Usha R

How do I update a note through the CRM api? I have tried using the id for the note as the "entityID" value, tried "NOTEID" and no such luck. Anyone had any joy with this seemingly undocumented way of updating a note? It must be possible, as stated on the Zoho API Notes: "You can either insert or update the data into Notes module. Upload tool date format error
I'm using the upload tool to automatically insert data into some tables. One of the datasets includes a monthly report with a date like "July 2011" and the column has "MMMM yyyy" as the date format. But when I upload the data, the date column always comes across as blank. If I set the column's datatype to plain text, the data gets inserted/uploaded as expected. Is there a way to have the column be a date, but accept dates in the "July 2011" format?

I am trying to create a new quote using java why do i need to send all information about the individual products surely the system knows the products so i should only have to send the productid and amount. Certain custom fields not populating
Hi Zoho, I have an application that uses your insertRecords API to add new leads to our Zoho CRM account. Sometime last week, certain of my custom fields stopped being popluted. The new lead is still inserted, but missing some important values. My custom fields are Numbers and DateTimes. I don't believe that anything has changed in my Zoho CRM setup, or my application. Related to Zoho CRM API: Need a way to search our leads with criteria state=<SOME-STATE> and city=<SOME-CITY> and then extract potential information out of the lead. We are using 'getSearchRecords' API method to do the search and here are the issues 1) Not sure how to specify both the criterias. e.g. I could do a search with either city or state but not both together in the query. 2) This is IMPORTANT: It seems that 'getSearchRecords' does not search through converted(processed) leads but only through

GetRelatedRecords call only returning 1 related record
Hi All, I just recently started messing around with the Zoho CRM API in C# to see what it was capable of and things have been going pretty well up until I tried the GetRelatedRecords() call. I passed in a contact as the parent section and made a call to Quotes with a valid ID which I would expect 2 records to return from, however I only got one. I hard coded the toIndex and fromIndex with various values but with no luck. Has anyone else seen this issue? Regards A

Referencing renamed modules in API
We have customised some of our CRM tabs e.g. Accounts has been renamed Companies. Does this rename the actual module or just the tab? In other words, if I want to use getRecords to retrieve columns from the Companies tab, do I refer to Companies or Accounts in the querystring? Also, can I retrieve custom fields using the selectColumns parameter? Thanks.
