IMAP namespace not possible
In some clients you can set an IMAP namespace (e.g. mail/) that would be appended to the user's $HOME directory. In this way I don't have all my email folders directly in my home directory on the server. the structure in $HOME would be something like Desktop mail <- this is where VO should work with my mail - Folder1 - Folder2 - Folder3 - SubFolder31 - SubFolder32 - SubFolder33 Tempstuff Is this possible in VO?
Installing on a domain on a cPanel server
Is there a known process or any known issues with installing the Virtual Office on a domain account which is on a cPanel/CentOS machine? I have shell access and obviously already have Apache and MySQL installed on the system, will the JBoss, Apache or MySQL interfere with these existing services? I presume there is some method to set an alternative port for the MySQL so it doesn't clash with the system MySQL or if possible actually use the existing Apache and MySQL installs?? Thanks
duplicate messages
sometime when i am downloading new mailboxes with a couple of hundred messages, vo starts duplicating messages, sometimes 2 version of the same message get downloaded, sometimes it a couple of hundred copies of the same message. I am using POP protocol to communicate with the mail server and vo is set to delete messages that have been downloaded.
VO Not Working/Loading on my Win2000 Box
Support, Our company loaded VO yesterday to begin a trial period. Installation and initial operation owkred VERY well. I cam in this morning and the VO Server was not running. I have tried to restart the VO server several times with NO luck. The load gets as far as "Loading Database Models" and then the dialog disappears and nothing. I have rebooted our machine a couple times and are not having any luck. We have not installed or changed any configurations. We are running Windows 2000 SP4 with the
Members not showing up
When vo was installed initially, we were able to add members to the friends list and instant message. Now, the members list comes up blank and instant messenger doesn't pop up. Neither do reminders. Any ideas why it stopped all of a sudden? (It's been less than a month.) Did we set something incorrectly? We have checked for pop up blockers. Thanks.
Error Message: EOF on socket
I downloaded the free edition and when I try to set up my email I get a Error Message. It says "Error Message: EF on socket" how do I fix it?
Project Management
I'm loving this system, and it could knock out 2 birds with 1 stone if it had 1 more feature. Perhaps it does or is in the works, but I haven't seen anything. I would love for this to have a Project Management module, similar to like Microsoft Project or something. It doesn't have to be as complex, although the more features, the better. lol Particularly, we'd like to track the progress of our projects with our web designers, and allow them limited access to only the projects they are assigned to.
dictionary
hi i use Zoho and I am generally happy with it but I find the dictionary not very helpful. it seems out of date and does not contain a lot of words. is there a way to download an updated dictionary?
Auto Mail Fetching Refresh Feature
If you are at the desktop or in the email section, the auto mail fetch does not check if you have new mail. It is setup to fetch new mail every 3 minutes. If it does work, it does show you new mail. You have to manually refresh the desktop or in the email section you have to click on Fetch Mails. Shouldn't it automatically do this for you? Also, Could there be a audible alert when new mail arrives if this can be fixed?
Documents in this folder are not available
I have a created a new group which has documents. When trying to access via webfolder I get: Documents in this folder are not available. Documents missing
All of my file stored in document folders seem to be missing. They appear in VO under the document libraries, however, after clicking on them I get: Error! Sorry we are unable to process your request. Please try again later. If I use the web folders (from windows) I see the folders, however, there are no files. I check serveral backup ZIP files as well as a complete TAR file that I made of the VirtualOffice folder I made several months ago. When searching I find documents from attachments, however,

hi there I am a zoho user and i am generally happy with it but I find the english dictionary very limited and actually not updated - is there anyway to update the dictionary?
Email folders missing
Just installed the software today and am very impressed, one of the bugs I have found is that the email folders disappear, they are there one minute but if I change view or send an email or something all email folders are blank, I can not see the inbox, sent folders etc etc Any ideas? I want to recommend this to my boss but as email is crucial for him I need this to work Thanks

Invalid License File (ERROR CODE 535)
For some reason vo was shutdown overnight and I had to SSH and start it back up(run.sh). Groups - adding members - how to?

I receive the message: Error! Sorry we are unable to process your request. Please try again later. While using email and documents, it also appears with contacts sometimes. I have tried version 3.0 with service pack upgrades as well as a fresh install of 3.1. After applying the service packs or using a fresh 3.1 install I start to receive these errors. v3.1 to v3.2 - moving files
I am downloading v3.2 to my main server. I've been running v3.1 on a test system. How do I move all of the user profiles, e-mail, etc. from my test 3.1 system to my new 3.2 system (running on a different server)?
Backup zip files
I ran back up, created the zip file (some 23+MB). When I try to use winzip to open it it says it is not a valid zip file. I've tried with both winzip 9 and 10. I'm using 3.2 build 3201 Also, I don not see a restore option in the VO - I see back up but not restore - is the normal way to 'restore' to just unzip the back up file? Like I say, this does not work. What am I doing wrong? Steve

is there a way I can recover a zoho office password for a user, are they stored in a text file of some sort or a type of other file
moderator
I see from help that there is a role "moderator". But I cannot find it in the zoho vo when creating a user. Can any one tell me how to make a user role as moderator? Or it is not valid in version 3.2?

Assorted problems; scalability question
We're really pleased with VO in many respects-- it has a great UI, nice selection of features, and is very intuitive and easy to use. Unfortunately we've run into a few problems. We're running VO version 3.2, build 3200 on a CentOS server. Access has been tested via Firefox on both a Mac and a Windows XP client. Our mail server is Postfix running on Red Hat 9 with UW-IMAP. The main problems we're having are all e-mail related: 1) Fetching mail for a new account seems to take forever and in some cases

IM and sounds
Most IM applications have sounds to alert the user that either an incomming IM request has arrived or someone has replied on an existing IM discussion. I have not found any place to set sounds for the VO IM application. Can you please tell me either where I can find the settings for selecting sounds for the IM application or, if it doesn't have any, when it will. Thanks, Steve

VPS hosting server specs
For those who are hosting VO on a VPS...Zoho says you need 512MB but has anyone installed the app on a server with 128MB of RAM? 192MB? 256MB? How does the system perform?
"TO: Field" email feature request and AUTOCOMPLETE
It would be very useful to be able to see who are in the recepients of an email... Even in the list view, not only viewing the Detailed Headers... Of course, common sense will make you say "Why would you want that? If you received the email, then you are the recepient?".. But, sometimes in a company you need to see if the email was sent CC: to some else, that sort of thing... Is it possible to have that? Other thing.. Don�t know if it is possible, but it would be also very "time saving" to have an

Hey... I was thinking Could you guys modify the email module, so we can have the chance to have some sort of a "Preview Pane"... Like in Outlook or Thunderbird, that when you click on an email you have the window in the bottom where you can read the mail directly without opening it? It would be soooooo useful... Can�t see extra folders in IMAP account
One more thing I found... It doesn�t matter how many folders you have configured in your mail account in the mail server... ZOHO VO will only show DRAFT, INBOX, TRASH and SPAM... Any way to be able to see all the folders? I have users in my company that who have 20 folders inside the main INBOX folder... I can see those through normal webmail service provided by the hosting (Horde or Squirrel mail) but not with ZOHO... Thanks

access to internal network web based systems
chaps i know ive asked this before, but i dont want this feature to die. We can now access internal network SSH systems and this is looking good. But my company has quite a few internal web based systems that people would like to access through VO. Is this a possibly and as alway what type of time scale, because as always im wanting to expand VO into a bigger company wide portal. Thanks Ojo
no folders when select move/copy
hi there chaps ooops - ive now notice another issue after my recent upgrade to 3.2 when anyone is in the documents option and they want to move/copy a file they select the file and then click move/copy. The popup window comes up that used to have all their folders in so they could select where to move/copy to, but this is now blank. So cant move/copy and files within VO. Hope you can assist thanks Ojo

1.) Internet Explorer 7 Beta Preview 2 I have problems with the navigation panel on the left side... See that screenshot: 2.) blank email window
chaps just upgraded my VO server to 3.2 and ive got an odd issue. one user and open his emails from the desktop window, but if he goes into the email option on the swipe bar and opens the same email all he gets is a blank window with a title of 'about blank' Ive checked other users and they look fine. The problem ive got is this user is a heavy email user, so if i delete him and recreate him how can i get just his emails back and working????? cheers ojo
Uploading multiple files or images
There doesn't seem to be a feature for uploading multiple files, either documents or images. Do you have a feature request or existing plan for implementing this? One interim suggestion might be to allow uploading zip or other archive file with a checkbox for unpacking the individual files within. Regards.
