Feature availability across data centers

Feature availability across data centers

Alert
This help page is a work in progress and will be updated whenever new data centers are added or feature availability changes.

1. Overview

Data centers act as centralized hubs to manage, store, and analyze data efficiently and securely. At Zoho, we operate multiple data centers worldwide, accessible through different domains, to securely store user data while also adhering to regional data protection and privacy requirements. The availability of features may vary across these data centers depending on local laws, supported services, compliance approvals, and technical setups.

1.1 Why feature availability varies by DC in Creator

Notes
Note: Data protection and privacy laws in multiple countries state that user data can only be stored in data centers located on that country's soil. In compliance, each data center only holds the data of users who have registered in that domain.
A few Zoho Creator features are data center-specific due to technical, compliance, or regional reasons, which limits their availability across the globe. You can refer to the table in section 3 (Unavailable features by data center) to find out which features aren’t supported in which DCs.
  1. Regulatory compliance: Different regions have different laws. For example, in the EU region, GDPR places strict rules on data handling, so features relying on external providers (like SMS-based OTP) may be restricted.
  2. Third-party dependencies: Some features depend on third-party services that aren’t available everywhere. For example: Google Translate API for localization is unavailable in China, so that feature isn’t offered in the CN DC.
  3. Infrastructure rollout: New or complex features may be introduced gradually across DCs. For example, AI modeler (powered by ZLabs) is not yet supported in certain DCs, as the required infrastructure support has not yet been provisioned.

2. Find your data center

Refer to the below table to find out  datacenter contains your data.
Info
Info: In case you relocate to a new country or region, you also have the flexibility to migrate your account to a different data center. You can write an email to migrations@zohoaccounts.com and our team will guide you through the process. This ensures that your data continues to remain accessible while respecting both your business needs and local compliance standards.
