Understanding and configuring next field suggestions

Zia's Next Field Suggestion feature leverages AI to recommend relevant fields based on your form's existing fields and context. It helps you identify additional information to capture and build more complete forms with relevant field types.
Availability
Next field suggestions:
- Is available only for paid plans of Creator
- Can only be enabled and managed by the super admin. Admins, developers, and users can access the forms that contain the field suggestions
- Zoho GenAI is currently available for use only in US and IN data centres (DCs), while EU, AU, CA DCs will continue with the OpenAI Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) approach as before.
1. Overview
Zia enhances the form building experience by providing intelligent field recommendations based on the form’s purpose and structure. It analyzes the existing fields within a form and suggests the most relevant next fields to improve completeness and logical flow.
As you build or modify a form, Zia next field suggestion feature:
- Understands the context of the form and existing fields
- Suggests appropriate additional fields with suitable types
- Helps maintain logical data structure
These suggestions are dynamic and context-aware. Even if a form was not originally created using Zia AI, next field recommendations are still available during manual form design.
By reducing guesswork and minimizing manual configuration, Zia ensures that forms are comprehensive, structured, and aligned with common data collection patterns.

Configure Zia
To use AI powered next field suggestions feature, you should configure Zia which is a one-time process that grants you access to all Zia features in your Creator account. Zia is configured with the Zoho GenAI LLM provider by default, so no additional setup is required. If you prefer a different provider, you can integrate Zia with any of the supported LLM providers (OpenAI and Anthropic). Learn how to configure Zia.
Security tip: Zoho GenAI LLM is available for free and processes all prompts within Zoho, while external LLM providers process data in their own systems. Avoid sharing sensitive or regulated information in your prompts when using external providers.
Enable Create Forms feature
- Navigate to Operations > Zia > Features. The Features tab displays a list of all available Zia features.
- Enable the Access button beside Next Field Suggestions under Feature access and choose a configured LLM provider for the feature.

3. Generate next field suggestions using Zia
1. Navigate to the required form's builder.
2. Click the Zia icon. A list of relevant fields will be suggested by Zia.
Note: To know the list of field types that will not be included in the forms generated based on use cases, you can click here. However, you can add these fields post accessing your form.
3. Double-click or drag and drop the required field from the list of suggestions.
4. Click the re-generate icon to get a fresh list of relevant field suggestions. You can click the delete icon beside the added field to delete that field from your form.
4. Use case
Let's assume you have a Manage Loan Agents form with fields such as Agent Name, Agent ID, Branch, and Contact Number in the Loan Approval application. As you design the form, you may need additional fields but be unsure of what information should be captured next. By enabling next field suggestion feature, you can leverage AI capabilities of Zia to suggest additional relevant fields based on the existing form structure and application context. Zia's next field suggestion feature suggests fields such as Agent Type, Assigned Region, License Number, Joining Date, Performance Rating, and Manager Name. You can review these suggestions and add the required fields to complete the form.
5. Limitations
Rate limit restrictions
- Zia does not consumes any AI calls or API calls from Zoho Creator. However, API rate limits may still apply. These limits are restrictions that the LLM provider imposes on the number of times a user or client can access their services within a specified period of time and vary based on their usage tier and the model consumed.
