Assign owner actions in workflows

Greetings, 

Previously, in Bigin, you could assign owners by updating the appropriate field. However, this method only allowed you to choose one owner at a time. To enhance this process, we've introduced a new Assign Owner action, which enables you to select an owner based on roles, users, and user fields. Owners are then assigned using a round-robin approach.

To assign an owner, navigate to Setup > Workflows > Provide the necessary details and criteria > Actions > Assign Owners.

You can assign an owner for the current record or any lookup records associated with it. Additionally, you can use user-defined lookup fields to assign owners.

You can assign owners dynamically based on merge fields by choosing the User Fields option. All records assignments are made on a round-robin basis.
                       
You can also notify owners of new assignments via email.     
                        

Notes

  • You can choose multiple users at once, and all of them will be assigned on a round-robin basis.
  • The Assign Owner action is available in the Pipelines, Companies, Contacts, Tasks, and Events modules.

This feature is available in Free, Express, Premier, and Zoho One subscriptions.
