Zoho User Group Meetups

We had a grand time hosting this quarter’s Zoho User Group Meetups in Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Australia. The central topic was ‘Building smarter business workflows with Zoho Projects and Zoho CRM’, and we received a strong turnout for our workshops as well as 1-on-1 sessions.

Auto-Notify External Users on Issue Closure

Zoho Projects allows external users to report issues to your organization via Web to Issue Form which can be embedded in webpages. Once reported, the issue gets filed and its status can be updated as it progresses.
 
One of our customers wanted to notify external issue reporters via email when the issue is closed. We implemented this with business rules and custom functions where an email with the issue details is triggered to the reporter once it is closed. Refer this post for the custom function script.
 
Auto-create Dependent Task on Status Change

We received an interesting requirement to automatically create and assign a dependent task when a task’s status is updated. We worked with the customer to create a custom function to solve their exact requirement. Explore the custom function we created in this post.
