Create Custom Module
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization.
- Click the dropdown beside Create at the top-right corner.
- Select Module.
- Enter the Module Name.
- Enter the Record Name. (This name is the name of the data added to the module. For ex. If you're creating a custom module to manage Legal documents, you can call each record in it as legal document)
- Enter a module description.
- Select if the custom module should be a Global module or Project module.
- Global module: When you select Global module, this custom module will act as a common module and can be accessed by any workspace user.
- Project module: When you select Project module and select specific projects, this module will only be accessible from within the respective projects.
- Select the checkbox if you want to move the custom module records to another project when deleting the associated project. Or leave the checkbox unselected to delete the records along with the project.
- Click Create.

Alternatively, you can also create module from the module list within a project in the modules list view.
- Navigate to a project.
- Click the
more tabs icon.
- Click Create Module.
- Fill in the required details and click Create.
Once you create the module, you'll be taken to the Fields Configuration page.
Customize module layout
You can choose an existing layout for the module and build over it. A list of all the existing layouts will be displayed under the layout name header. Click the dropdown beside the default layout, and select the required layout.
Customize the layout by adding new fields based on your requirement. In the New fields tray, a list of all the fields that can be added to the layout will be listed. Drag and drop the required fields to the layout and then click Save Layout or Save & Publish.
Create module with AI
When you click the Create with AI button in the Custom Module create form, you can generate custom fields using AI. You'll directly be navigated to the AI fields tray.
- Enter a description in the Module Description field.
- Click the green tick mark.
Once done, fields and sections will be suggested by AI. - Click the checkbox beside each field or section.
- Click the Add to Layout button.
- Click Save.
Once you click Save, you will be prompted to either save and publish the module or save the changes to the layout. If the module needs to be published, you can click Save & Publish. Otherwise, you can click Save Layout.
Note: If you have just saved the layout, the module will not be displayed to other users until it is published.
Publish module
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization.
A list of all modules can be viewed here. - Hover over the module that needs to be published and click the Publish button.
You can now access the module within the workspace.
Set permission
Set entity level or field level permission for each profile users.
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization. The modules listing window will appear.
- Click the Custom Modules header.
A list of all the custom modules created in the workspace will appear. - Hover over the required module and click Set Permission. taz

- Select the Entity Level Permission tab in View by to update entity level permissions.
- Select the Field Level Permission tab in View by to update field level permissions.
- Select the respective profile from the Profile Name dropdown.
- Change the permissions as per your requirement.
- Click Update.
Update custom module
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization.
- Click Custom Modules to view the list of all the custom modules in the workspace.
- Hover over the required custom module and click the Edit option.

- Update the required information.
- Click Update.
Note:
When you update the custom module, you wont be able to convert a project module to a global module or vice versa.
Option to enable 'Move records to another project while deleting the current project' is restricted.
Enable or Disable Custom Modules
Since Custom Module is a user-created module, all custom modules (both global and project specific) can be enabled or disabled.
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization. The modules listing window will appear.
- Click the Custom Modules header.
A list of all the custom modules created in the workspace will appear. - Click the toggle switch to enable or disable custom modules.
- Click Enable or Disable to confirm your action.
Delete custom module
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Modules under Customization.
- Click Custom Modules to view the list of all the custom modules in the workspace.
- Hover over the required custom module and click the Delete option.

- Click Move to move the custom module to the recycle bin.
Note: This module will be available in recycle bin for the next 15 days after which it will be deleted permanently.
Recycle Bin
When you delete a custom module (global or project), it will be moved to the recycle bin and will stay in the bin for the next 14 days after which the system will permanently delete the module from the system. Once it is deleted from the recycle, you won't be able to retrieve the module.
When you delete a project which has custom modules, you will be prompted to transfer the records in the custom module to another project. Select the project to which the records should be moved and proceed by clicking the Move records & Delete Project button.
Note: Moving of records from a project to another depends on the visibility set for the custom module. You will be able to move the records to another project only when the same custom module is available in the other project.
