I'm using Zoho Books for retail shop and I'm running into a bit of a challenge with products that have multiple Units of Measurement (UOMs) and corresponding barcodes.
For example, I sell cigarettes both as individual packets and in cartons of 10 packets. Each UOM has its own unique barcode. I purchase cigarettes in bulk (cartons of 10 packets) but sell them both individually and in cartons. The pricing for each UOM is different: a carton of 10 packets might be priced at $50, while an individual packet might be priced at $6.
Another example is bottled water, which I sell both individually and in packs of 12. Each UOM has its own unique barcode. I purchase the water in bulk (packs of 12) but sell it both as individual bottles and in packs. The pricing for each UOM is also different: a pack of 12 bottles might be priced at $12, while an individual bottle might be priced at $1.
I'm wondering if there's a way to link these different barcodes to the same product while maintaining the distinction between the UOMs and their corresponding prices. This would help me accurately track inventory, sales, and purchases.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
