Email tracking subdomain

Email tracking subdomain

The Email Tracking configuration screen of the ZeptoMail asks for a subdomain. I have gone through the documentation but could not find more information about how that subdomain is used by ZeptoMail to track the emails.

Can someone throw some light about use of subdomain for email tracking?

                                  I setup departments for the main clients I service, tickets inbound from specific emails go right to the departments. This helps with reporting for me.
