Project Background The Country Planning Cycle Database is an open, online resource that provides a country by country overview of the national planning, health programmatic and project cycles, together with information on donor involvement and technical support, for the 195 Member States of the World Health Organization (WHO). The aim of the database is to improve the coordination and synchronization of national health system planning efforts. The country planning cycle database has evolved to meet the ongoing needs of WHO, UNICEF, the GAVI Secretariat along with other partners at the country and global level. It was agreed by partners that a mechanism was required to regularly gather “live” country intelligence in regards to national health planning processes/HSS efforts, GAVI HSS grant implementation and other related activities, as well as identify the immediate technical support needs required by countries. In response to this request, a secure online site was developed within the cycle planning database for countries and partners to regularly gather live country intelligence, promote knowledge sharing, streamline technical collaboration and centralize reporting. Project Description Required enhancements and new features for the country cycle planning database and the live monitoring site • Creating a dynamic search and reporting function that allows for cross-cutting analysis of the data collected; • Improve the country planning cycle profiles by restructuring the content sections to highlight and display key messages; • Create a innovative mechanism to display and link to the available country documentation from the country profile sheets; • Fix minor issues with how the data is displayed in the country cycle profiles by applying data restrictions; • Streamline how the archival data is displayed and accessed in the live monitoring site; • Create a file repository for the live monitoring sure with password protection or similar; • Make the country planning cycle database and the live monitoring site standardized in terms of design and workflow; • Create a simplified process for apply security permissions and creating users for the live monitoring site; • Synchronization of the live monitoring site to other WHO databases; • Develop content for static pages for both the country planning cycle database and the live monitoring site; • Incorporate interactive user guidelines and marketing materials for the cycle database and the live monitoring site; • Create a proper webpage domain name for all pages instead of creator.zoho.com; • Apply a measurement tool to display website usage and traffic from geographic sources and other criteria; • Develop the ability to use the cycle database and the live monitoring site via mobile/tablet and • Cleanup of any unused data and old source code for the cycle database and the live monitoring site Standard work items for the cycle database and the live monitoring site 1.
