Gmail add-on adds huge spaces in text added to notebooks

The gmail add-on is a fantastic idea especially because gmail currently has a highlighting bug and won’t let you scroll down while highlighting so you literally can’t copy paste more than a screen’s worth at a time.

However, when the text from the email is added to notebooks there are huge gaps in the text. I don’t know if they correspond to where there were line breaks in the original email or what is causing it but please fix! The add on is so great. I tried to find a non private email without crazy images and formatting for a screenshot but couldn’t find one. I’ll reply with a screenshot if I can. (All emails sent by companies are full of weird formatting and images)
