Recurring task even if previous task not closed

Hi,

I'd like to create recurring tasks that recur even if the previous task is not marked closed.

Two use cases where we have issues:

1 - The previous task is not closed out (moved from "completed" by owner to "closed" by account manager) and the new one does not appear.

2 - if there is a client-side hold up from previous task (stuck in "client review") and we need to attach deliverables to the new task, we cannot attach them to the new task because the new task hasn't been created due to the current task being stuck in a review status.

A few potential solutions

1 - Create a task, set it to 10 recurrences, then have 10 tasks show in the project?

2 - Option to duplicate the task

With either of these options, it would very nice if Zoho could use some variables in order to automatically append the month for instance.

Example - "%month% - send blog to client" So we set 5 recurrences would start the first task with the current month, and each month afterwards would dynamically add the next month

Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values. Customers pointed us the inline editing was very useful to them & how much they miss that in 4.0. Based on the feedback, we have rolled out this enhancement.
