There seems to be wide variation of report customization capabilities within Inventory / Finance. Some reports already have good customization capabilities, others still lack what's readily available elsewhere.
As an example, the Inventory Valuation Summary report has good customization; one can add / subtract columns, rearrange as needed, and sort as needed. Conversely, the regular Inventory Summary inexplicably has none of those options.
I would recommend implementing as many customization options as possible across all of the reports.

My use case is around SKUs and item names. When I cannot add and/or sort by SKUs, the reports don't make any sense. When items are sorted in alphabetical order by item names, the order is nonsensical. The SKUs, in contrast, are ordered in a way that is meaningful.
I'm sure that's just one of many use cases for implementing the customization options across all reports.
