sub page / categories / navigation

What I'd like to do is set up categories within a wiki and each category would contain its own info (in sub pages).

As I'm planning my wiki I'm thinking in terms of categories so here's what I'm trying to figure out: I know the "Navigate pages" section lists all pages and sub pages in what might be considered a categorical fashion. But when I open a main page I'd like to see that page's sub pages listed on that page. Does that make sense?

In other words, if I have a page (category) called "Places to Visit" and it has sub pages called "Istanbul", "Constantinople" and "New Jersey" I'd like to see the sub page titles show up in a clickable list on the "Places to Visit" page. As I said, I know it shows up in the "Navigate pages" sidebar but I was hoping there was a built-in way for it to show up on the page itself as well. The reason is because I expect few main pages but many, many sub pages within -- so looking at a single page's sub pages should make navigating a bit easier.

Can anybody tell me how to do that or what other info I may be missing?
