Tip of the week #2 - Get instant aid from teammates without leaving your inbox

Collaboration with team is important for efficient working. Here's how Zoho TeamInbox helps you collaborate with your team members while you're still inside your inbox:

Internal discussions and comments

Before you send out a reply, you might want to discuss the thread with your teammates. Use the comments section right next to every thread in your inbox, tag people, and conduct discussions. You now don't have to forward emails back and forth within the team to get things clarified. This way you also stay away from the risk of accidentally sending your internal discussions and conversations to the external sender.

Collaborate with members of other teams

In instances where you may want to share and discuss the thread with members outside your team or with those who don't have access to your inbox, just @mention them in the comments section. This will share the entire thread with them with read-only permission, and they will be able to make comments on the thread. The only pre-requisite here is that they should belong in your organization in Zoho TeamInbox.

Share email drafts

When you need help while drafting a reply, click Share Draft and select the member you want to share it with. They will now be able to view and edit your content. Thus, co-author email replies with your peers in real time. This will help you send out faster and appropriate responses.

Re-assign threads

Sometimes you might want someone else to take up your conversations while you're mid way through it; for instance, you are out of office for a week. In such cases, re-assign your threads to hand them over. Now your team will also be aware of who has taken up the responsibility.

Support discussions with relevant files

While discussing with the team, upload relevant documents in the comments section if you need to back up your discussion or to make the context more clear to your teammates. Keeping the thread and all the associated documents in one place will be of use to you and your team for future references.
