Tip of the week 72- Things to remember before you plan out your re-engagement campaigns

In our last tip we discussed about the best practices for crafting the content of a re-engagement campaign. Today we will look at some of the best ways to help you strategise a re-engagement campaign.

The major challenge of re-engagement campaigns is to successfully re-engage inactive or less active contacts. Sounds challenging?

Well, it is a bit but definitely not impossible. Here are some of the best practices you can follow while planning to start your next re-engagement campaign.

Segmentation

The trusted method when it comes to achieving accuracy while sending out content. You need to mark out and segment the group of contacts with whom there has been least interaction over the last 3-6 months. Check the past engagement metrics of your contacts and identify who are the inactive contacts. Your segmentation will determine who should be a part of this campaign.

Behavioural Automation

Email marketing automation like workflow allows you to refrain from aimlessly sending out bulk emails. You can design an appropriate workflow so that your contacts' interaction decides whether to be a part of that series or not. You can send emails to your contacts at regular intervals and not overcrowd their inbox. This will increase the efficiency of your re-engagement campaigns series.

Polls and surveys

You can include polls and surveys in your campaigns.

This will let you understand if your contacts are dissatisfied with your re-engagement emails.

Include polls in campaigns while designing a workflow. Segment contacts based on the scores assigned to them by you in the poll. Responses from polls and surveys will let you target your contacts for the next set of re-engagement emails even better.

 A/B Testing

Finally, before you send out the re-engagement campaign you must be sure of the content. Since you are going to interact with your contacts after quite a while, you need to have the best content for them. A discount or free subscription might just be the thing but you need to know which one you should choose. Worry not, A/B testing is the answer, go with the option that resonates better with the contacts.

Hope this tip helps you to plan out your re-engagement campaign.

Regards,

Susmit

      • Tip of the week 03 - Sending emails in batches

Today's marketers not only want their email marketing to be efficient, but also smart. For an email campaign, you may think you have all the essential elements for lead conversion—a big mailing list, an attractive template design, and the most-engaging message content, but after hitting the ‘send’ button, you may not get the expected conversions. Wondering why? Here’s one of the major reasons. Many marketers miss out on sending the email campaign the right way. Did you know that you should not be
      • Tip of the week 04 - Know about your recipients' 'prime open time.'

      • Email Deliverability Tip #3: Seal the deal with the preheader

In the last post, we learned about the subject line. Today we'll be learning about the preheader. A preheader is the short text that follows the subject line in an email. The preheader is designed to hint at what your email message is all about. A good preheader should act as a second subject line and convince your contacts to open the email. Now, let's learn the best way to craft a preheader. Your subject line and preheader should work together and accurately convey the gist of your email. Keep
      • Tip of the week 15 - Add subscription-preferences option. Drive more engagement.

If crafting content for emails, getting creatives done, and running email campaigns is your love, then unsubscribes are the heartbreakers.  You can save your emails from being unsubscribed/trashed by adding a proper subscription-preferences option in your emails (works best at the time of signup). Giving subscribers the option to choose what they want to receive from you and decide how often (frequency of the emails) your emails should hit their inboxes will increase the reach of your campaigns manifolds.
