Hello everyone,
With a lot of events happening online, there is a need to choose technology that gives your attendees an authentic experience of physically being at the event. One way to do make your sessions feel more real and engaging rather than distant and virtual is to customize your speaker's video feed to include dynamic elements that spruce up their presentation. This will surely pique your audience's interest and improve the way sessions are conducted. Let's take a look at how to do this in Zoho Backstage.
To set the camera feed for your session to a virtual camera, begin your session as you usually do by clicking the Start session button in the Present sessions tab of the Conduct Dashboard. Your session will open in a new window. You will now be asked to select the source for your audio and video. Here, you can select any of the third-party virtual camera tools like open broadcast software (OBS) that will allow you to personalize how your video is streamed to your session audience.
Before you session begins, ensure that your virtual camera is compatible with your browser and you have all your settings in place. Depending on what virtual camera you select, you can include a range of multimedia effects or settings in your video. For example, you can change your video background by displaying a picture or a video on loop with the help of a green screen. You can also show text or modify how much screen space you occupy. Lastly, try playing a video from a different source in your camera feed, for instance with the help of OBS, or display your slide deck next to you to give the appearance a session happening in real time.
