Tips and Tricks 23: Six ways to quickly transfer all your files to WorkDrive


Hello everyone!

In today's post, we'll show you how you can easily move your files to WorkDrive. In case you haven't read our previous articles in the Tips and Trick series, you can find them here.

New to WorkDrive and wondering how to move your existing files to the cloud? 

Here are six ways to help you get all your files to WorkDrive right away.


1. Use our migration tool:

If you are currently using Dropbox, Google Workspace, or OneDrive, then you can use our secure in-house migration tool to move all your files to WorkDrive without losing any data. If you are using Zoho Docs, we have a migration tool for that as well. 
 
Get in touch with our support team (support@zohoworkdrive.com) and they will help you migrate your files and get started with WorkDrive right away.


2. Bulk upload files:

You can bulk upload files when you want to move data from your desktop to the cloud. Organize all the files within a folder and you can upload the folder to WorkDrive with a single click. 


3. Import files from other cloud services:

If you wish to move only certain files from your existing cloud storage, then you can import those specific files to your WorkDrive account and start working on them. Currently, you can pick files from Google Drive, DropBox, Box, OneDrive, and Evernote. 


4. Use WorkDrive's Desktop sync app: 

Another way to move your data from your desktop to the cloud is by using the WorkDrive Desktop app. This is a great option when you want to migrate a huge amount of data to the cloud. Simply drag and drop files and folders to sync them to your WorkDrive cloud storage. You can download the Truesync app from here. 
 
Note: The maximum file upload size is 10 GB in Starter Edition, 50 GB in Team Edition, and 250 GB in Business Edition.


5. Scan documents using the WorkDrive mobile app:

Go green and digital with the WorkDrive app for Android and iOS. Scan and upload files and save them as images or PDFs. You can choose your preferred location to save (i.e. My Folders, Shared with Me, or a Team Folder) and rename the files if needed before saving them to WorkDrive. You can download the WorkDrive mobile apps from here. 
 
6. Send scanned files directly to WorkDrive:
Use WorkDrive’s Allow file uploads via Email feature to automatically send scanned documents to a Team Folder by configuring your scanner settings.

To access:
  1. Select a Team Folder of your choice and click Manage option in the top action bar.
  2. Choose Settings from the dropdown and navigate to the Allow file uploads via Email field.
