I'm researching using this product to manage our various policy/procedure/forms manuals. We create one document for each policy/procedure/form. There are two things that I'd really need a document management system to do that it doesn't appear are supported with Zoho:
1) When uploading a file, allow me to set the initial version number. Most of these files have gone through mulitple revisisons and the version I initially upload into a new document management system is not going to be 1.0 in most cases. It appears this question was asked in the forum and the response was that it would be considered in the future. The only workaround I can see is to keep uploading the same file over and over until you get it to the right version, but with over 500 files, that would be a huge waste of time.
2) We provide our various businesses with a copy of policies/procedures/forms on a CD to use onsite. We currently have the "version" of the file as part of the filename, which makes it easier to verify that the latest version is being used. When downloading files to create a CD, adding the option to add the version number to the end of the filename (before the extension) would be a requirement (i.e. Policy 101 - Employee Benefits v1.2.doc)
