Hello everyone,
Last week, we're celebrated our anniversary as we turned 3 on the 31st of July this year. Backstage has
grown over these years and we've definitely come a long way from being a simple event management tool. We definitely couldn't have done all this without you.
In line with our anniversary, we have released the hybrid events and exhibitor management features and a few other enhancements as well. Here are the latest updates for the month of July:
When physical meets online—Hybrid events is here
Hybrid events combine the virtual and physical helping you steam your physical event live to your audience. Conduct hybrid events with Zoho Backstage and provide a shared experience for attendees wherever they are. These events include all the features that were available for location-based and online events packaged into one. Also, speakers can choose to deliver sessions online or from the event location.
Exhibitors at your event
Virtual events now include expo management where exhibitors can send a request to the event team by selecting a particular booth type they want to use. Once approved, they can conduct meetings with interested booth visitors during the virtual event. Visitors can also share their contact information for exhibitors to get in touch with them. This feature is currently in the early access phase, so please get in touch with us by
signing up here if you would like us to activate it for you.
OTHER UPDATES
- Sessions can be restricted to certain ticket classes or made available to all ticket holders. You can set this up when creating your sessions.
- You can now link the images in custom sections and buttons in the microsite to a speakers profile, a sponsor's page, or a session.
- Attendees can now edit questions posted in the Questions tab during sessions hosted with Backstage OnAir. Replies received from the host or speaker can also be seen.
- When hosting online sessions with Zoom, attendees can join sessions seamlessly. They can do this from the browser itself and need not be redirected to the Zoom app. This will also enable them to see all sessions from the event agenda and also enable them to join upcoming sessions easily.
- All forms now include conditional subfields which you can associate with decision-based fields such as dropdowns, radio buttons, and multiple checkboxes. The subfields will be displayed when a particular option is selected and can be used to collect more information about that option.
