Remote working has become more and more accepted in current work culture and can often increase productivity, improve employee health, and help the workforce maintain a strong work-life balance. Employers also benefit through reduced transport costs and the ability to pick from a wider pool of talent. To cater to the needs of our evolving workplace culture, WorkDrive has now introduced mobile apps for iOS and Android.
We at WorkDrive continue updating our apps to ensure great work gets done, no matter where you are.
Here are the latest updates on the WorkDrive mobile apps:
WorkDrive iOS updates
1. Scan documents and upload
Quickly scan and upload documents as images or PDFs via the WorkDrive iOS mobile app. You can choose a different location (e.g., My Folders, Shared with Me, or a Team Folder) and rename the files if needed before saving them to WorkDrive.
2. Share files and folders with Groups
You can now share files and folders individually with Group members using the iOS mobile app. This is similar to sharing files and folders with team members—just add the Group name instead, assign appropriate access levels, and click share.
Groups created in Zoho One (Collaboration Groups), Zoho Workplace, and Zoho Directory are called Org Groups. You can share a file or folder with these Org Groups as well.
Team members can now view the list of Groups created in their Team under Team Details.
3. Dark mode
WorkDrive iOS mobile app will now support the iOS 13 dark mode feature.
4. New default view
When you close and open the mobile app, you will now be shown the last accessed section (e.g., Recent Files/Favorites/Offline) or folder (e.g., My Folders/Shared with Me/Team Folder) by default. This enhancement is also available in the Android app.
5. Drag and drop on iPad
iPad users can now drag and drop files from other apps such as Files and Photos to WorkDrive with the Multitasking feature.
WorkDrive Android updates
1. Enhanced upload experience
When you upload files, you can now view the upload status of each file on your screen. You can choose to remove any files from the upload list if needed.
2. Share files and folders with Groups
You can now share files and folders individually with Group members using the Android mobile app.
3. Filters enabled in Search
When you search for a file or folder in the Android mobile app, you can now use filters, such as Location, File types, and Time, to further narrow down your search results.
4. Zia Search
When there are no search results found in WorkDrive, you can now search across Zoho apps using Zia Search. You must have installed the Zia Search app to use this feature.
5. Tighter integrations with other Zoho apps
When you view your team members under Team Details in WorkDrive, you now have the option to:
- Use Zoho Cliq to chat with, call, and video conference with that team member.
- Use Zoho Mail to send an email to that team member.
- Use Zia Search to search for the member across all Zoho apps.
Note: You must have installed Zoho Cliq, Mail, and Zia Search apps on your mobile to use these respective features.
Contribute to your team's work no matter where you are, with Zoho WorkDrive apps for Android and iOS mobile devices.
