Numbered Lists and Sublists
I think numbered lists with sublists should be implemented like Microsoft Word. Currently, Zoho does lists like this: 1. Item here. 2. Another item 1. This sub item is also numbered. 2. another one 3. and another 3. Here's another item. Microsoft Word uses letters for sub-items, which makes more sense to me in most cases. 1. Item here. 2. Another item a. This sub item is also numbered. b. another one c. and another 3. Here's another item.
After sharing...this happened
After I invited another user to "share" a document (read-only), whenever I click anywhere in that document, a dotted box appears around the paragraph. Why?
Thoughts on Links
I would prefer hyperlinks to be handled differently in Zoho. Right now when you are editing a documnet, you cannot click on a hyperlink. You can only edit it. I assume that the link is activated if you post on a blog or something. It would be nice to be able to "activate" or "de-activate" the link by clicking on a tiny icon at the upper-left corner of the link text. Favicon
Just a trivial point, but it would be helpful if zoho had a favicon. When using tabbed webpages it would be good to have nice Z to distinguish it from the other plain tabs.
Hosted only?
Hi, I was curious to know if the Zoho applications will be a hosted only solution, or is there an intention to in the future allow this to be setup on our own servers?
How to print and a question about webspace
Hey, I'm really interested in this software because, like most college students, I'm likely to be anywhere when the idea will dawn on me that, "I really should be working on that paper." What I do now is: 1. create a document 2. save it locally and on my webspace (which cost 12 dollars a month btw!) 3. after I edit it I have to upload it back to my webspace so that I can access the updated version of it later. 4. After countless uploads and downloads of the same document I can finally print it out.
Possible to send as .txt files?

Last modified date of a document
I use a java script to show the last modified date of a document but although it is edited in html and works when uploaded to my web page it doesn't appear on the zohowriter preview pane. Why is this and can anything be done to fix it? If you can give me a simple answer I can understand I will register as a user. Thanks Hugh
Importing/Exporting Word Docs
I cannot use the Import or Export features to import or export MS Word documents to/from my hard drive. When I click on "Import" and select a document, the hamster cage spins and nothing happens. I've let it run for up to five minutes. Similarly, when I click on a document then click on "Export," a new window opens with the message "Exporting to Document..." whatever that means. I've let that process run for many minutes also. I can, however, successfully e-mail documents to/from myself. I'm running
No tables
I noticed the ZohoWriter uses tables for some of the structure of the site. I was wondering if there are plans to not use tables in a future update? As you may know, tables aren't the greatest thing for producing web pages... they render slower in browsers, ec etc
directional keys
Is it just me, or are the directional keys disabled in the text area? Or am I just going crazy? If I'm not crazy, would it be possible to enable them? Thanks! - Brian
Print
Other than pulling down the "File" menu and printing is there any Zoho self contained "button" to push to print a document. When I use my "File" menu the pesky "Page x of x" is printed at the top. I printed off Zoho once by serching for the feature but I cannot recreate the act.
Documents coming up blank in Firefox 1.5.0.4 on XP today?
We have heard two reports of this: document comes up blank in Firefox 1.5.0.4 on XP. IE works fine on the same machine. Many of us have the same set up, but haven't been able to reproduce it. One user shared a "remedy" that worked for him: basically he made one test document public, and opened that test document. After that Firefox seemed to load all documents fine. Since two people have reported the issue within a day, we want to analyze this to see if there is a new Firefox specific problem. Please
Spacing
Maybe I'm not aware of its existence, but is there a way to double-space or 1.5 space Zoho documents?? One of my class paper requirements is that documents have to double spaced, Times New Roman 12... Thank you
Typing unicode characters
Hi, I want to write documents in Hungarian language, but I can't write unicode (Latin2) characters directly into the document. I have to use the special chars table or copy+paste from other text editor software. I need many �, �, �, � etc characters and choosing it from a table every time is annoying... For example, here in the forum I can write them fine, so I think, it must be possible in the software too... Thanks!

Hi I am a dermatologist and an independent researcher working in Dubai. I have found zohowriter extremely handy and I use it for writing research papers online. One feature I would have liked in zohowriter is a bibliography manager since I feel zohowriter will be predominantly used by the scientific community. It will be quite useful if you can implement the �Cite while you write� functionality of EndNote in zohowriter. EndNote can export a library file to text or xml format. If this can be opened
No documents
what the heck is going on?!?! I just logged in and the documents are on the left panel, but when I click them they dont show up. In the editing area its all white and the document title is "Document Name" What's going on? You guys are good and I want to support you guys and use your software, but I have stuff on here that I actually need to use. Stuff that I need to be able to access when i need it.
Tagging Documents
How do you tag a document? I just signed up today. Maybe I missed the icon or command, but I can't find it. I tried clicking on the "Tag" icon at the bottom of the page. A box with "= Tag:" appears. When I tried entering text into it, it was replaced by the search feature.
Cannot create a new user account
I'm having no luck creating a new user account. When I click the "I am a new user" checkbox, the password confirmation editbox appears correctly. I then enter my email address and both passwords and click "Sign in." The page reloads with the error message "No Account for the user." Attempting to login with the new account's information confirms that the account was not created.
Macrons over vowels
If it's not too much trouble, can vowels with macrons (horizontal lines, similar to the circumflexes, but completely flat) be added to the special characters list? I'm a Latin teacher and I'd like to use zoho to write handouts, quizzes, tests, etc... but I would need to include long vowels (i.e., a, e, i, o, u, and y with macrons). I also want to start an online collaboration with other Latin teachers, which would require macrons. Michael Stewart
Export function, except for HTML, not working
New user. Mac OSX 10.4.6 Firefox 1.5.0.4 Export functions, except for HTML, return a blank white page saying. "Exporting to....",. Eventually each page times out and an error message appears from the server.
Unable to post to wordpress.com
I'm new to zohoWriter and trying to post to my wordpress.com blog. When it asks for service, I select wordpress from the pull-down. I type in my username, then my password and blog name. Then it says: Unable to connect your blog. Username or password may be incorrect Am I doing something wrong? or is there a bug somewhere?

User Edit history
After months waiting in frustration for Writely/Google to let me in on their 2.0 app, I discovered ZW! And I like it ! Now for the details. I found that drafting legal documents in groups can be tricky when one or more person are referring to differing versions, comments, etc., leading to timewasting quid pro quos. Zoho writer won't let me set single spacing.

Firefox Portable
The only problem I have is that copy, past and cut scripts do not work. The fix page for this problem does not tell me how to fix the problem for Firefox Portable. Shared Documents folder - which shared documents are here?
I shared a document with Aravind as part of the Export Function debug. When I click on "Share" the document shows that it is shared with Aravind. And Aravind has confirmed access. The Question - why does this document not appear in my "Shared Documents" folder?

Imported Word docs lose centering
I have just started using Zoho and imported a moderately complex Word document for a test. It came in remarkably well, including a table, but the centering was lost. I had both centered headers and centered entries in the table, but all got left justified.

Exporting Word Documents.
This is a great service, I found it while looking for a way to edit my word documents of my novel I'm currently editing when I'm away from home, and this is just what I need. A couple things: 1. Word is being really funky. So Far importing is fine. When I first exported, I got only part of the document. Now when I'm exporting I'm getting a blank document. I tried PDF and PDF worked fine. Hi, I tried to create an Zoho Writer account this morning and I keep getting an error message. I used an email account for my username, as instructed.

For A few days after joining Zohowriter, I was able to view documents that were shared with me by someone else. I had even added to his documents and he was able to view them. Now, a day or so later, I cannot view his documents that he was sharing for me? What has happened? There is nothing available for me to view that he shared.
