We would like to share the latest updates for this quarter.
Here is a round-up of the features and enhancements we rolled out in Q1:
Working with Zoho Projects data in Power BI?
Integrate Zoho Projects to Power BI and sync module data (from default and custom fields). Once synced, you can create interactive dashboards and generate detailed reports from your Power BI Workspace.
Using the same default invite message every time?
Set up reusable templates with custom subject lines and messages for inviting portal and client users. You can also set a preferred template as the default for all future invitations.
Prefer adding tasks on the go?
Each task list has a unique email alias. You can add tasks directly to a specific task list using its email alias. Copy the email address available on the task list details page and send your task details using the syntax.
Users relying on assistive technologies?
Improved screen reader support, focus indicators, and keyboard navigation to make the interface more accessible. Users can personalize their experience for better clarity, comfort, and reduced effort.
Time entries being added outside the actual task or issue duration?
You can restrict time logging to fall within the start and end dates of tasks or issues. This ensures reports reflect accurate timelines for better project analysis. Use the Time Log Period Settings to configure past and future log allowances and apply exceptions for specific users.
Restrict baseline visibility in the Gantt chart?
Control who can view project baselines by granting view-only permission at the project level. This ensures that only relevant users can view baseline data.
Managing multiple task custom views?
Custom views are grouped as My Custom Views if the custom view is created by you, and Shared Views if the custom views are created by others and shared with you for a clutter-free experience. If you need a modified or updated custom view, you can clone it, make necessary changes, and save it as a new custom view.
Updating phases one at a time?
Select multiple phases and update their owner or status in one action. This makes it easier to manage phases without editing each phase separately.
Other Enhancements:
- A formula custom field can now be associated with up to 20 task or timesheet layouts. This helps maintain consistency and reduces the need to recreate the field across layouts.
- The Timesheets terminology has been updated for better understanding. Each entry is now called a time log, while a group of time logs is referred to as a timesheet.
- Zoho Projects now supports V3 APIs. You can explore and start using them from the new page.

Any chance we could get a "Reviews" element to put on sites? It should be extremely simple to do. Basically just take the comments box and add an option for a star rating. At the very least, it would be nice to have more customization options for the comment box so the text could be changed from "Comments" to "Reviews".
