Search and Auto Complete
We are experiencing a problem with the Search and Auto Complete feature on some pick list fields. Our users love that the forms load faster in the case of very long lists and love that the search feature in addition to 'starts with' handles 'contains'. But, the pick list does not always populate with all the available selections. We understand that with the Search and Auto Complete option selected, by design the pick list only partially populates until the user requests additional items via search
Has JSON Changed?
The url for viewing JSON data https://creatorexport.zoho.com/adminname/appname/json/viewname/ Used to display the feed data in the browser. Now it wants to download it as a file. I think this may have messed-up my application. Cheers, John Whitney
Invoking user input within a custom action
Hi, I'm a newbie and am struggling with how to approach this. I have two custom actions in a view - Pass and Fail. An example of pass is as follows: void test.PassTest(int id) { rec = Testing [ID == input.id]; rec.Outcome = "Pass"; } What I would like to do is when this button is pressed in the view the function prompts the user for one or more additional fields. Free Flow Script - Chrome visibility
The problem occurs in the Chrome browser. When I view script via "Free Flow Script", I do not see and cannot edit anything. When I change to "Script Builder", I can see and edit the code. It was working fine yesterday but I cannot edit my views, forms or functions using the free flow script editors. Can someone please investigate? I have tested it with IE and Safari and it appears fine.
SQL statements in Zoho
I am now beginning to understand Zoho a little better. Obviously there is some sort of database in the background that is at work when we use a Zoho app we have created. 1) Is there any way to have access to the database for my app through SQL statements either to execute some sort of transactional statement or statements? I need a piece of code to clear certain fields on user edit.
Alright, Basically, I have a form (current form). Once I add/update a certain field, the records of that row of that field is copied to archives. So I need it to clear certain fields (on the current form and not the archive form) once I update this certain piece of information. For example, (This is a bike application) Customer checks out bike 1, once the customer brings the bike back (actual check in date), that row of records will be moved to archives. i need it to where i can clear certain records
openURL - popup window works but same window and parent window do not
I have multiple stateless forms embedded in my website. When the first form is completed the user presses a button which is supposed to load the next form. I am using - openUrl("#Form:Client_Information_SL?Client=" + input.Client_search, "same window"); behind the button. When I click the button which runs the openURL command nothing happens. If I change "same window" to "popup window", the correct form is loaded as a popup and overlays the previous form. In other words, the "popup window" parameter
Criteria in a view of a form with a subform
Hi all I have a form (treatments) with a subform (payment cards). In the subform I store each card payment. One of the fields is the due date of this card payment. I want to show in a view treatments that have their overdue payment last letter (dated before today). The problem is that it shows all the treatments that have some payment card with the date before today, instead of displaying only those with the date of last treatment before today.
Bug: Red line covering on-click

I'm looking for a way to build a small knowledge base that will include Zoho Presentations. 1. User opens the KB view to see all the articles. 2. User clicks a custom action (button) on one of the rows to display the record. 3. The record pops up in VIEW mode and has some descriptive text along with an embeded Zoho Presentation. Subform Edit Bug: Can't add a new record through subform link
Greetings! I have three forms: 1. Enter Class/Event/Task (parent form) 2. Attendance (subform) 3. Add Clients Attendance has a lookup field that pulls from Add Clients, and "show a link to add entries to Add Clients" is checked. For the parent form, everything works smoothly when adding new records. However, when I go to edit that parent form, and I click on the link in the subform that is supposed to let me "add entries to Add Clients", the LOADING indicator appears and never stops. It keeps spinning
Missing field names
I have a form that loads data using several lookup fields. This works fine until in another form I use a lookup field over the first table of data. When I go to the display options to choose the data the fields in the table that were lookup fields in the original form are not in the list even though they appear in the table view of the first form. Why can't I access these fields?
Disappearing data
I have a form that has several lookup fields. When I enter data into the form and execute the dropdowns to choose the data for these fields all goes well until I look at the view for that table. In two of the lookup fields the data only appears in one record of the several records in the table. Then if I create a new record the data in the record that shows data in the two lookup fields actually moves to the new record and leaves the other record blank in those two fields. What is going on?

Mission Critical - need to send a digital product on payment of invoice.
Hi Team My company sends out building inspection reports to clients. These reports are only released on payment of the invoice. Often the report is uploaded to the system before the invoice has been paid. In this case we desperately need to have an action triggered when payment is made in zoho invoice, so that our creator app knows to release the report. Ideally this should be instantaneous. At this stage the only way I can think of is to have a scheduled event within creator check the payment status
Send email from different user (not adminuserid or loginuserid)
Hi Team I have a scenario where I need emails to go out from a specific users email address on submission of a form that has been embedded on a website (to an email address entered on the form). This user is not an administrator, nor does the published form require anyone to be logged in. If I try to specify an email address in the "from" field it tells me that the "to" field can only be set to an adminuserid. Is there any way to have emails originating from regular users on submission of a form

I went to switch a "Single Line" Text entry field to "Import Data" and configured all of the parameters including '"Show Link" and "Enable bidirectional relationship" and so forth. But now I'm totally hung up with an error being generated that says: [App_Table_Configuration] Duplicate entry '1262029000000082829' is not allowed as duplicate entries already exist. I cannot find any duplicate entries in any of my forms or in the Imported Data. Thanks to this interruption, I've lost my place in my scripting
Colorise Calendar view
Hi. Is it possible to colorise the items in a calendar view by certain parameter? Like conditional formatting in excel? I found an old post about this, but this was 4 years ago. mayyyybe there has been some change in 4 years regarding this topic? If not possible to colorise, can I somehow "export" the view in google calendar? I have a lot of information to visualise in a calendar but certainly the application looks odd when trying to show too much records:

Cannot save script
There seem to be some issues as I have searched throughout the forum for this topic, but I am still not sure what to do. I am trying to enter some very simple script for the 'on update' event of a form field. When I hit the 'save script' button at the right lower corner, I get a message in green that says 'script generated'. relating a form to many forms
I'm working on a farming application. Lets say I want to store transaction details of an "Inventory" that might be a child of a multiple types of "Planting", or of "Receivings", and become the parent of more "Plantings", "Packaging Runs", or "Wastes", for example. Inventories must also be able to parent other inventories so that lots can be split and combined. But I don't know in advance if my Inventory is going to becomes seed, or be sold, so I can't have a different Inventory forms for each type,

Does anyone know if it's possible to execute one or more deluge scripts upon startup of login of an application? For example, some of us maintain a users table in which app users can update some basic profile information or application parameters. Populate yes/no response from link in email?
I have a table that contains event staffing information. I would like an email to go out to the volunteer when I assign them to the event. In this email I would like to have a message followed by a simple: Can you confirm your attendance? Yes or No When the "Yes" is clicked, I need to have the "Confirmed" check box on the record selected and automatically saved in the table. I don't care if the form displays or not (preferably not). Is this possible? Has anyone done anything remotely similar to this?

New User - Making Progress - Need Help = Unique ID and Relationship
Hello, New User - A Real DB Novice. I have created 2 tables 1 = "People" 1 = "Assets", the forms appear to work fine, 90% complete. I have 2 questions? 1. I need to create a unique UID 4 digit, sequential number starting at 1000 on my People Form. So when I add my first record in Form Unique = 1000, next 1001, next 1002 so on..... I have searched and seen some example creating new form with 1 field and some script on success?? Is there no easier way?... I'm very new to this

The selected contact is associated to the Lead. And, more importantly with regards to my questions, the Lead is associated to the contact. Zoho Creator Integration with Sql Server Application

Zoho Creator is the perfect tool to collect the data from hundreds of different users, but we still need our appliation to "display" all of that data. My question: Is it possible to use Zoho Creator as the front end and have the data either persisted into a SQL server upon add or exported to SQL upon command or at some regular interval? Import XLS form load - incorrect tab
I have found a bug with Zoho Creator When I go to "New Form" and Select Form Type "Import XLS" I then select a Tab from the Place this Form under dropdown I then paste in my data and click Done The form and data gets created fine but the Form and View get created under a New Tab. It's not a major problem but the new form and view should exist under the tab I select. It is a hassle moving the form and view and deleting the link. Can you please fix this issue?
