Can't export data from creator, other than PDF or HTML files
Hi I have problems exporting my data from creator! I have the same problem as earlier in other topics. The only type I kan export my data in is PDF and html. I would like to do it to excel or csv, but this is not possible. See attached for error message. BR Dennis
"From" field in sendmail
Hello, I loved "creator" a lot and started using it in the "Feedback" form of my site. I wanted to use it in my "Trip Planner" page as well. But one of the challenges that I am facing there is the inflexibility of setting the "From" field. Now the mail looks as if it is coming from the admin id always. I have to train people to copy and pate the email that I collect in the form to the "To" field of the mail when they respond to the customer queries. I wish I had the option to set the customer email

Create "X" number of empty fields, user specifies
Hello, I have a simple Zoho Creator form that is used to measure the diameter of some ball bearings. However, the user may be entering a lot size of 5 bearings or 50 bearings. When they go to the form, the first thing the form asks them is to enter an integer value for "How many bearings are you going to measure?" Based on this value, the form will then display the proper number of numeric fields for the user to enter the diameter values into. If this cannot be accomplished on one form, it is OK
Navigation at end of view
It would be nice to have the navigation bar (Filters, buttons, search, pages) at the bottom of the page too.
Updating a URL field thru scripting
Hi, When I drag a URL field type onto my form design then want to set its value during an 'on validate' event with script by refering to another url type field on another form, my field always ends up empty. If I change the field type to just a single line, then try to set it's value by referring to a URL field on the other form I get the whole hyperlink shown to me in text ie <a href="......."etc..... a> which is not what I want. How do I use script to set a URL type field with the value of another
Hiding a multiselect field on load
I want to design a form that shows a single field on load. In this case, it would be a dropdown list of subject areas. Once a user has selected the subject area, the remainder of the fields pertaining to that subject area would be shown. I can accomplish this, except for the multiselect fields, which apparently cannot be hidden on load. Why is it I'm the only one who can see a form on a google.page I've set up. All other peoples who are trying to get to it are not getting ZOHO usual login form. The arrow that runs after it's tail keeps turning but my users are not able to login??

Calendar view - based on
Why is it when I turn to a view I can not get the "based on" selection dialog box? This particular view has 8 fields and only one field is in date format, shouldn't it select the only date field by default? At least tell me how to get that dialogue box where I can specify on wich field the calendar view should be based on. Accepting and Processing an Inbound Email to fill in a form.
I have been knocking up a little demo and would like to have the ability to intraspect an email and extract information from it to add a record to a database. Sub Forms?
Are sub forms even possible with Creator? I have a table where I log claims and the employees will give status and add notes to each claim. I know I need two forms (claims and claim notes) but I can not figure out how to create a relationship (one to many) between the two forms. I see that I can do lookup for drop down menu's. Any suggestions??

The screem will not let me see the right side on internext explorer. This prevent me from updating information. I cannot not scroll the screen down to enter new data. What should I do? hcbase
How to save data from a form to a database
I face the problem that I can't import a multi-page Excel workbook in Creator. So I tried it in Sheets which works fine. But I need to have a form to enter and verify data before it gets saved in database. Does anybody have an idea?
Editing records
I'm wondering if there's anyway to edit records from the list or spreadsheet view rather than by clicking on the "edit" button and pulling up the editing screen. I'd love to be able to cut/paste fields and move records around directly on the list and type information directly onto the list or spreadsheet. Thanks, Jean
Allow users to create accounts
I don't know if I can already do this with Zoho creator. I want to create allow people to sign up for an account. They use a form to enter account info. Then I want I want a second form to act as a login script the user will enter a Username and Password they created and it will access the view with their account info and redirect them to a members page. Filter behaviour in views
The drop-down list of the Filter items is based on all the data of the table. It should be based on the restricted data based on the same criteria of the current view. If my records are: FieldA UserID A slack B slack C support D support and the view is defined as: list "MyRecords" { show all rows from Listings [(UserID == zoho.loginuser)] ( FieldA ) filters ( FieldA ) } The filter currently display: A, B, C, D The filter should display A and B only.

I created a form: http://creator.zoho.com/dorusabau/form/8/ by which, among others fields it is also the ID Utilizator field. With this form the users can introduce their personal data. I want to create now a new form, lets name it Form_2, so that when one user files in Form_2 his ID Utilizator to view only his personal data (that he introduced before by the first form). Before I start, let me preface this by saying I am very impressed with the depth and the relative intuitiveness of the Creator app. It is by far one of the best web-apps I have seen to date. It almost seems as if the possibilities are endless, and I was able to pick up the basics of creating applications in minutes. Missing Required Form control
Hi guys/gals, I was building my online application for saving my SMSs. & in my very first I found two problems. There are no table views, such as in the MS Access -Design/View/Data sheet. However thats not a prob for me as far as 'field/record' are accessible. The problem is, that why I cant make any new field/record without putting it on a 'Form' as a control. Set field value based on lookup
Can someone provide an example script of setting the value of one field in a form based on the lookup value in another form. The lookup table contains both data. For example, a lookup value is set in field1 and I want that action to set the value in field2 on the form. Thanks for you help.

wrong timezone for zoho.currenttime
I'm sorry I need to ask this, I've searched the forums without finding an answer to my problem. I have one of fields = zoho.currenttime upon update. It works fine, but it displays the time as GMT-8 which is incorrect. I'm in EST which is GMT-5. I've set this in my locale for my account, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've even changed it to a GMT-2 locale to try and compensate, but to no avail. Clearly, I'm missing something. Help please! I suppose I could just set my field to = currenttime+'3H'

Views Label Name and Display Name Confusion
I've always thought that in Views, the "Label Name" refers to the Label Name of the field in the form. However, I just realised that this is not so. For example, I have a form field with Label Name MOE (variable name also MOE). In the corresponding view, I initially have Label Name "MOE" and Display Name "MOE". I changed the Display Name to "Score1". The next time I came in the view, I found that the Label Name has changed to "Score1", and display name is "Score1". This is silly. The Label Name should

Displaying formula fields, and formulas on formulas
Two problems (I can't find a help category in the forums, so I went here) these are definitely "not bugs" just "can't figure out how to" 1. I'd like to display the value of a formula inside my form, is there a way to do this. 2. I've got several formulas, now I'd like to create a formula based upon these new fields, however when I put in the field name of the formula, it tells me that the field is "not defined." I like ZOHO creator very much, but when I embed the forms in my web application, the <div> that I am putting it into is narrower than the form. Is there a way to control the width of the form fields so that it will better fit on my web page? james
Lookup tables
I am trying to create a form that I can use to to query an existing form. I tried to use the lookup function but it won't let me "look up" anything but Text entries in my other form. example, I built a form that collects information from several employees. They are listed in a drop down box. the employees can then log information they completed during the day and the time it took them to do this. I wanted to create another form that would allow me to select an employee then combine that with one
URL fields target parent
Currently the only choice one can make with regards to the URL field is whether to open it in a new window or not. Since it is very common to embed the views in iframes, there should be a choice to make it target the parent instead of the iframe only. Currently I have to choose the pop up option when the view is embedded in an iframe, but most users do not like pop-ups. It should be kind of like the "Open Next Url in" option when embedding forms.
