Using CRM for Apartment Locators
Newbie to CRM here. The business we are trying to use ZohoCRM is an apartment locating business. Not quite sure how to "label" the different stakeholders in our business model. Our "customers" are apartment management companies and property managers. Our "product" are folks looking to find an apartment to rent. Our service is matching our customers with our product - we receive a fee for this service. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to integrate these entities into the CRM
Does my contactlist in a campaign update with contacts ?
I've made a campaign (selection of contacts) in crm, ready to sync with Constant Contact. I question now if my campaign contactlist will be updated if I add new contacts in the crm contacts ? So, if I add a new contact (in contacts), is the contact added in the campaign list automatically (if the new contact falls into the selection that I defined in the campaign set-up) ? Hope it does... ?
Search Customization
Hello, I would like to be able to customize the order of results for searching in Zoho CRM. For example, if I search for a contact, presently the "Full Name" is far down the list of custom fields for Contacts. As a result, if we have Account Name, e-mail address, phone number, all selected, those will appear in the search results left to right before the contacts full name (link). Would it be possible to re-order this so the Full Name link for the contact could be moved up to the top of the list?
How can you see how much contact you have in Zoho CRM campaigns ?
Hello, I've prepared e-mails campaigns in zoho crm using the filters. How can I see how much contacts I have selected (to check if my selected was ok) ? ps :I know I could work around by creationg a report, but this is not a fine solution (time consuming and even then I cannot immediately see how much contacts are in the campaign) ... Is there a quick way to see the number of contacts in a zoho crm campaign ? Thanks, Pol
Importing contacts and store it both in Accounts and Contacts
Dear Zoho CRM Forum, We are in the process of implementing Zoho CRM in our business and we are about to import many of our excel list with clients etc. In relation to that many of our lists includes company name, contact name, email, phone, title etc. I would like to create both an Account and a Contact, but I do not know how i most efficient could do that. Lead Name in Open Tasks View?
When creating a new task, there is the option of Contact/Lead for a field. I chose Lead and typed in the name, but I can't edit the Open Tasks view to show the Lead name. Am I doing something wrong or is this just an oversight in the software?

Discounts structure in pricebooks
I am using Zoho to generate quotations. I have about 200 products that I am importing into Zoho, which works well. Now the problem comes when I try and create pricebooks for my 3 levels of client (Silver, Gold, Platinum). Presently to do this, it seems like I have to manually enter the discounted price for each and every line item in each pricebook. This means that I have to manually type in 600 line item prices (3 pricebooks X 200 products). Is there no way one can associate a discount from the

Using sheet view for editing products in Zoho CRM
Hi all, I have many products (all the variations of one product, just different colours) and I would like to update the description field. I can't do a "mass update" because the description field is not one of the available options. If I could edit in sheet view, this would very fast- and I am able to open the products in sheet view. So, as mentioned, I can open the product list in sheet view, and see my products. If I try to edit the name of the product, or edit the description, I save the changes

Controlling account access with subordinates - so some are shared and others are private.
I am the CEO of a small technology business and need to keep some of my sales accounts and associated contacts, activities, and events private, while sharing other accounts with with my subordinates. I thought there might be a simple check box within the accounts form to do this, similar to the "share emails" check box that is within the contacts form, but there is no such box. I also thought of making my accounts, contacts, and activities private, and then assigning any shared accounts to my subordinates.

Is it possible to add/remove/re-order the columns we see when we first open a module?. I would like to add Account Name and Mobile number to this view.

To elaborate more on my query, I am a businessman who has a list of clients. I just wanted to know if zoho CRM can help me keep track or remind me of my dealings with my clients, like when to collect from them, or when to replenish their stocks or even their birth dates. How to invoice after X days?
We have a "if you don't like it, send it back" policy. So we ship the products, then when the customer receives the goods, he checks them out and if he likes them, he then pays the full invoice. If the customer is not satisfied with any of the products, he can make a partial or full return of the shipment and he gets a payable invoice on the items he didn't return. How can we achieve this workflow in Zoho CRM?

BCC Dropbox missing addresses?
Our app automatically BCC's Zoho on outbound email, and while the email has been received we've seen instances where it wasn't. What could explain this unreliability? Specifically, we added an address on on Thu, Mar 28, 2013 at 1:02 PM (Eastern time zone) which never showed up in the system at all. Obviously, missing leads is a significant problem for us.
Edit custom fields using free edition when you can't add any more custom fields
I need to edit the field type but I reached the max fields but I do not need all those fields but I need some. I would like to delete the ones I do not need but do not know how or if it is possible. I could change the field type but I need to create a new field type but can't because I reached the limit. So the first step would be to permanently delete the custom fields I do not need but is that possible I can only see a way to move them out of the lay out but not a way to delete them.
Inventory Analysis
I've been using Zoho for a while now and I'd like to start using it to track and analyze my inventory. What I need to do is simple. I take an inventory the 1st of every month. I use a spreadsheet to store all the inventory data. I'm trying to figure out the best way to store, track and analyze inventory month-to-month in Zoho. Should I use the products section of CRM or create a database? Either way, how can I take a snapshot of each inventory period and analyze usage month-to-month? Thanks.

Hi Guys, is it possible to switch between accounts within Zoho? Means if every User in our Agency has 2 different Accounts (because of 2 different Emails), can he swich from User 1 - user1@mycompany.com to User2 - user2@mycompany.com? Or do we have to log out everytime and change useraccount? Why do we need this? Still not able to tell if email is correct
I am still waiting for the simple ability to tell if the email I entered via a typed form is able to be sent or if it bounces back from the server. This feature is something that I used at Salesforce. I have complaints that a prospect did not get my email and when someone in the company sends the email via Outlook, our Web mail, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Livemail they get a postmaster alert is is not correct but good ol" Zoho just pretends that life is good and the email went. Main Menu Bar - Needs to Stop Scrolling with the Page Content
For those of us who use your service about 5-8 hours per day, I find it very hard to navigate to different sections (for example, Accounts, Activities, Reports, etc.) which are listed on the menu bar because you have to continue scrolling up to find the menu bar to navigate to each area. My mouse scroll button is going to catch on fire if this keeps up. Please consider programming to lock the top header and to include the menu bar to make navigating SO MUCH EASIER. I can't be the only one to mention
Importing Data
Hi, I'm trying to import data from an Excel Spreadsheet. The version of Excel is 2013. Whenever I get to the point where you Map the columns it only lets me map everything as Col: 1, then on the next page it marks all the contacts as ignored. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Remove Date field limitations, Custom Currency & Percentage fields limitations and other similar field limitations
I work for a Sales Tax Consulting firm. Our firm's auditors must track audit dates/deadlines/penalties/interest/tax bills, etc for clients. ZohoCRM does a great job at tracking this information as well as displaying the information using Views and Reports. Unfortunately I have just bumped up against field limitations for both date fields and custom currency & percentage fields. This seems like an easy fix. Not sure why they have these limitations in the first place. I guess my next step would

In fact, we think that the whole manipulation to add a product in an invoice/quote/order take way too much time for a convinient use. Custom Template Inventory PDF Print Size Very Large
Hello, We have created a fairly standard HTML template. The template works fine apart from when the saved PDF is sent to the print que it is over 60mb!! The PDF itself is only 80kb so i am not sure why this is happening. This happen to our clients when printing the PDF also. Any ideas on what could cause this would be very helpful. Thank you
