Add files to Accounts via email
Hello, Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add a file to an Account in CRM via email i.e. an individual email address for each Account that will accept an email with an attachment and then add that attachment to the Account. The scenario is something like this. We use another system to produce invoices (not a finance system, it is an operations system). The invoice process creates 2 files - a CSV which is used to update the finance system and a PDF which is sent to the customer. I was looking
Sync Contact with Google - what will happen next?
Hi, I had 2-way sync configured and all was working well, too well all my personal contacts ended-up in Zoho (my own fault). We have now decided to only do a one way sync - Zoho -> Google so all contact updates will be done in Zoho and then pushed to Google. Now we are configured this way, what will happen when I delete my personal contacts from Zoho, will the delete be pushed through to Google? How can I delete my personal contacts from Zoho without them being deleted from Google also? Thanks
Custom View Help - Contacts by most recently modified - HOT Contacts
Hi, I would like to be able to sort my Contact list by the most recently updated, i.e which contacts have had email conversations / notes recently etc . Unfortunately it seems that your modified by/ time fields only update if the contacts personal information is changed. is it possible to get this to change on upload of an email/task/note aswell ? Major problems since new Template
Hi all, Are there more people who are experiencing major problems with the new template and Zoho CRM? We are having problems with empty offers and invoices, prices differ from products and offers, clicking on a relation shows a wrong one. In fact, Zoho is not working for us, but against us right now. We have complained about it and really want the old layout back, because it was working just fine. But the answer we got was 'no, cannot change back to old template'. This is really problematic! Migrate calls in to ZohoCRM
When I'm trying to migrate completed calls, it's displayed under Opened Activities. But I need to see calls under Closed Activities. Anyone faced with this. How to fix this case?
Column Width
Hi, I'm a new user to Zoho CRM and must say I like it... :) However I have some things that bugs the crap out of me and the main thing is that I can't find a way to adjust the columns!? As for example, layouts. On the startpage I've created a module of open activities. And for that activiity I've chosen to add company name a long with other information fields. Sending emails from a list of contacts in a campaigns
Hi want to do a mass emailer to a stack of my customers, i've set up the template for this but what i want to do is first select the contacts from my contact list and add them to a campaign i've created once they're there i then want to be able to at once send them all the same email. So basically i want to track the contacts i've selected for this mailer using campaigns? I can't see how you do it, i can see how you assign contacts to a campaign but you can't email them from the campaign. any ideas??

Issue in importing Potentials, Account field does not show up while import runs fine
Hi, I'm trying to import Potentials into Zoho. The import of Accounts runs fine. The import of Potentials too, except that the field "Account Name" is not populated. The account indeed exists and the import runs fine (no error message of missing field... while Account is a mandatory one). I'm confident that my XLS are correct, I mean "Account" in one is spelled exactly as "Account" in the other. I've tried both XLS import and CSV import (migrate data from other CRM), with Chrome and Firefox. Any
company hierarchy
Our company currently has 2 staffs using zoho crm (free users), and we would like to add a third to the group. But the third staff, I want her to be a limited user only (cannot delete or access certain information). I heard that paid users have this function, is it? If so, do we need all 3 users to be paid users, or just the 3rd to be paid user and 2 free users in order to do that? thanks

Search/filter contacts by "letter sent" between dates
I'm new here, trying to use the tool effectively. Recently I sent letters to a group of customers, and marked each as having completed the task, with the subject "sent letter". Now I want to make followup calls to each of those customers. I thought that would be straight-forward, but I cant figure out how to construct a filter or search for: Give me customers with: Task "sent letter" complete Task completed between "2/20/2012" and "2/25/2012" Can you tell me how to do that?
Zoho CRM and Google Contacts Sync Not Working
Hello all! I've been stumped by this issue since last Friday. I've setup Zoho CRM (Professional edition) to sync with my Google Contacts (Google Apps for Domain). As far as I can tell the Google ID is the right one. I've also checked the Zoho CRM app in my Google Apps domain control panel and all the permissions are green. I've re-read the corresponding wiki page (zohocrm.wiki.zoho.com/Synchronizing-Google-Contacts.html) line by line. I've erased and re-created the setup 3 times now but absolutely

one click 'send task reminder' for Zoho CRM
We have assigned tasks to team members. They have not done the tasks. We want a way to click ONE BUTTON that will send a reminder of the task to the assignee... as it is we have to click edit, send reminder, close etc. Zoho CRM should make it easy for sales managers to manage their teams... as it is we have to click click click to get simple tasks accomplished. A real pain. Please, one click reminders for tasks!

Quote template - zeros for defined fields
Hi, I have an issue with quotes templates. Even though I have defined the ${Quotes.Discount} ${Quotes.Tax} in the template, added the discount and tax while creating the quote...yet it renders zeros. Please, see attached image for a better explanation. I'm I doing something wrong? or is this a bug?
Zoho CRM Old UI - Bidding Adieu on Feb 6, 2012
Back in Jul 2011, we introduced the new Zoho CRM UI to a few users (CRM Admins & Paid users) and after that, incrementally opened it to all users by Sep 2011 . Over the last couple of months, we listened to all your suggestions & comments and made several improvements in the new UI - for example, Wide screen layout, business card view customization, sticky recent items, themes, show/hide quick actions etc. As announced in other forum posts , we've decided to discontinue our OLD UI on Feb 6, 2012
Notifications from Tasks
Hi all, We are having an issue with assigning tasks and follow ups. For example, John creates a task for Peter so he assigns Peter as the owner and sends him a notification. Peter then does the task and marks it complete in the task form. How can he send a notification back through Zoho to John to let him know the task is complete? Thanks in advance for any insight!
custom field picklist change field name not reflected in map or other modules
hi, If i change the field name on a custom field picklist in leads the field name in the map or other modules does not get updated, it stays as per the original. I have selected that the picklist be created across Leads/Contacts etc ... Further to this it seems to not update the field where the custom was created in my case it is leads BUT it has been renamed to Inquiries maybe this is the issue
Send Email Button in Contacts not working
The send email button in mine and my colleagues Zoho CRM contacts forms are not working. The button depresses but there is no response and a new email window does not appear as before. I have tried it in both Chrome and Firefox - same result. Anyone have the same problem? Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks

Adding a reference number to new leads
Is there a way for Zoho to automatically apply a reference number to new leads in chronological order? For instance, if we create a new lead it would start at say 00001. The next one would be 00002, etc. We've been using a hit counter to dole out reference numbers and add them manually, but it would be a lot easier if Zoho could do it automatically. Thanks

Cost price vs. sale price
Hello, I'm fairly new to Zoho CRM and struggling to understand the "unit price". I see we have "vendors" = suppliers, and "accounts" = buyers/customers, is that right? But the products only have one price, the unit price. How does that make sense? The prices at which I buy a product from a vendor and re-sell it to the customer naturally have to be different. Is there a way to have different prices and allocate the right price to the various functions, e.g. cost price to purchase orders and resale

Associating a Deal with a Campaign?
I am looking for help / guidance on associating Deals with Campaigns at the time when a Deal is set up within Zoho. I see where we can go to an individual Campaign (Spring Webinar, for example) and "add deal" from the list of options in that profile. BUT there are many times when our sales reps are opening up a Deal and they'd like to associate that with the marketing campaign they know it resulted from, but there is no option to "add Campaign" in the Deal field. Is there a way to add the "add campaign"

Better image handling for Avatars
Hi Team, Something that I find extremely useful in a CRM (especially as I organise events where a lot of members show up) is to have a meaningful photo (aka avatar) for the user. However I find when I upload a photo the Zoho system just squeezes it into a square box, most other systems handle this more gracefully and maintain at least the proportions on the longest side rather than squeezing the image. How do I link products to companies/leads before they are accounts?
My products start my lead process. The flow is the following 1.) Product uploaded into Product Module. Enter many unique product details. 2.) Product(s) and the company who makes it turn into my leads. 3.) Leads then turn into different types of accounts & potentials based on the product. How do I assign a company, that is a lead, to a product? Then, how do I make sure all the data entered in the product page goes into the lead then account then potential automatically? Thanks

close task / activity
When I press "close" next to an activity while in the 'probables' module, sometimes it closes it.. and sometimes nothing happens. About 50% of the time either may happen. When it doesn't close the task out, I have to edit the task and then manually change the status to "completed". Has anyone else been having this problem? It's much quicker if I can just press on the "close" link without those additional steps.
