is there some way to confirm that "merge fields" are working?
I'm finding that merge fields in email templates don't always work. In the email, the merge fields are simply blank. There must be a pattern to it, but as of now it seems completely random. Is there at least a way to force test an email template to make sure the merge fields come through properly?

BUG: API Doesn't Return Seconds for Modified Time and Created Time
Issue: The "getRecords" API method no longer returns seconds for the "Modified Time" and "Created Time" fields. This is a CRITICAL issue, because the "lastModified" filter in the API request IS accurate to the second; therefore, major sync errors can occur. I would like a sales team to be able to see each other's records without having full edit/delete permission for the records. I would like the Entity Level Permissions to enable me to select Create, Edit, Delete AND View. If changing a custom field from a pick list to text isn't possible, won't deleting the field and adding a new one delete all data that is currently stored under the pick list?
When we originally set up our CRM, we set up many of our custom fields as pick lists. We now see that it would be much easier and more effective to make these text based. After researching, it appears that it isn't possible to simply change the current lists to text. I'm assuming the best way to do this is to delete the current pick list fields and create new ones as text. However, wouldn't doing this delete all data that we have already entered in the pick list format? Please advise on the best

Can I change the originally created username of an account?
We set up Zoho accounts for many of our clients and admin them. One in particular I added an "s" to the end of their name when it should not have been. Is it possible to change the username after the fact? If personally can this be done by a zoho rep? THanks

Multiple Discussions central visibility
With some companies I have multiple discussions with different individuals about the same or different projects. Likewise I can have a number of people in my organisation speak to the same person at the client about teh same proect.. Is there any way I can get a chronlogiocal look at all conversations ( notes) that have taken place with the client or targeted prospect, without having to know which contacts notes to access individually and read not necessarily in correct order?
Can you send a one-off email to multiple contacts and have it tracked for all?
Here is the scenario. I want to send an individual (one-off) email to multiple contacts and have the email listed in the Email History section on the Contact Detail screen of each user. I invoked the Send Email function from the Contact Detail screen, but there was no way to select additional contacts from the email screen. I tried typing in the email addresses of the other contacts and was able to send the email, but the email history only attached to the original contact.
Open Activities related list
After customizing the related list for Activities, I am still unhappy. The activities should default to sort by date instead of sorting by alphabetical order - this just doesn't make sense to me. I'm referring to the related list that shows up for Open Activities in Potentials, Contacts, etc. Is there a way to fix this on my end?

Google Contacts Sync - Doesn't save settings
This is not a good start. I upgraded my Free trial account (which I was testing) to Professional today for the sole purpose of syncing CRM with Google Apps, and it doesn't seem to want to work. I go to Configure Sync Settings, fill out the data, hit Save, and it does nothing. I'm wondering if the page is even loading properly, because the 'Custom Views in Zoho CRM' and 'Groups in Google Contacts' drop downs are empty. I would have also thought that the Field Mapping would be filled out as best possible
Create a report with Vendors & Contacts

"Convert Lead" always makes Contact and Account and then goes to edit the Contact screen
In the previous Zoho CRM release, converting a lead created an account and a contact, but the next page you saw was the edit account page, and the contact was created in the background. I don't use contacts that were created from leads (various reasons), but it was not that annoying since the contact was created in the background, and clicking "Convert" took me to the edit the account page. In the new release, the account is created in the background and "Convert" takes you to edit the contact screen.

I have multiple salespeople and it appears they can see each others leads/contacts/activities, etc. Is there a way to restrict all views so that each person can only see his data? (I am using the free version) Thanks

Images in mail template is not shown in received mails
Hi, I created one mail template, inserted some images into it , used that template and send it to the recipient. When I checked it for testing, the images are not shown. Only texts are shown. However, after several testing, I found that the images are shown only when I'm logged into Zoho. Otherwise, some broken icon is shown. Unless the images are shown, I can't send it to the customers since not all the recipients are always logged in to Zoho. This is very important to me. Could you please fix

Trying to make default text in text area and to disappear on click

Linking "pick list fields" that are the same.
Question: When using a "pick list" field that is the same in multiple files is there a way to only have to add new values to one of them? For example; We're using Lead Source in both the Leads file and the Potentiasl file. Two Seperate Companies - How To Use Free Zoho?
I have two companies that I run and operate. I run them from my same laptop and would like to have two seperate instances of the application running for the two companies. At the moment as I attempt to login with the 2nd companies details, it auto-recognises me and auto-logs me into the 1st company, of which I already have a session open for. How do I get around that? New to Zoho :-) When converting a lead to a contact, what happens to lead notes? I tnoticed when creating a new contact there was no notes field.
Note editor
When writing or editing a note in the new UI you only can see 4 lines of text. In the old UI there was a pop-up window where you could see a lot more of the text. This makes it a lot more difficult to write or edit a note, as it's difficult to view your work as you go along. Please make the note editing box bigger.
