Using Python SDK to mass-update records.
What I have in mind to do is in theory really straightforward, only Zoho APIs have historically proven difficult to navigate for me. So we have a custom module that stores a numeric value in 2 different formats. One format starts with "123XXXXX". The other format starts with "456XXXXX". What I'm trying to do is to fetch all the records that start with "123", and replace only these 3 digits at the start with "456". That's it. How to handle a company who change its name
HI, I'm trying to figure out a solution where one of our client changed it's name and email domain. For now, we have 2 entries for the former and new entity. and add a note on both, about the name change. We did this primarily because we still have open orders with the former. Is there a way we could merge the 2 entity and keep the mail with the 2 domains ? Or is there a "best practice" for this case ?
Account Import with Bill to and Ship to information
Super basic question, as we are just implementing Zoho CRM. Does anyone have best practices on how to load Account information from an ERP system based on Bill To and Ship To numbers? We are having difficulty with the Account/Parent relationship and the fact that our ERP system uses the same name for most Bill To and Ship To accounts all with the same numbers. I want to configure a CRM for use as a real estate agent. I'm trying to retrieve a record from Zoho given its ID. But when this record doesn't exists always I get a NullReferenceException. Is there a way to get a freindly response instead of a NullReferenceException? Something like status: error, message: NotExists, NotFound or something like this. Hello, is there any documentation on the fields within the backup download files? Some fields are very clear and obvious, however some less-so. eg there is a "LAST_ACTION" field that contains a number. I'm assuming the number represents the type of last action but I'm not sure what these are. It would be useful if the fields file contained short description, especially the less-obvious fields. When I delete an email in Outlook, it makes the email no longer viewable in the Contact record in ZohoCRM. I do not want to leave tons of emails in my Outlook inbox. How do I delete them without them being removed from my ZohoCRM contact record? I am using IMAP, in case that makes a difference.

How do I make the GDPR Compliance available for the Deal's module? At the moment its only showing Leads and Contacts.
In the section that says "Enable GDPR compliance for modules" I noticed that the module I'm integrating with Jotform is not listed on the available options. Therefore GDPR doesn't apply for the module I'm linking my form with. The module happens to be a deal and the available GDPR compliance for modules are only leads and contacts. As a result the data from the form is pulling through to zoho crm on my Deals module. please help!

Share only one contact or lead with other users
Hi, I am new to Zoho and I'm trying to set up the users and permissions. We have multiple sales persons and we want them to have access to their own data only. From my understanding I have to set leads, contacts, deals... as private. But as the sales progress into the sales pipeline, we want the engineers to have access to some contacts to start working on a solution. Ideally the salesperson would share the contact with the engineer team whenever he/she needs. Is it something possible? Thanks
Import into Leads is not appearing.
I am trying to import contacts from another CRM into Leads. All required fields have mapped properly and the import widget is showing that the import has completed successfully. Yet when I go into Leads I cannot see any of the new imports. I have tried refreshing the browser and clearing out the recycle bin, just in case some of the records where already in the recycle bin. I am now stuck with only 86 out of 3000 leads showing in CRM.

Accounts and Layouts; what am I missing
I am an attorney doing multiple practice areas (such as bankruptcy, criminal, family). I can create a layout for each of the practice areas but doing so does not increase the amount of fields that I have available. What is a workaround to this? With each practice area, I can make use of the maximum number of fields. In other words, if the maximum number of fields is 100, I could make use of 100 fields for each practice area.

When a lead comes in, i have a workflow that triggers an initial email to schedule a meeting. If the lead does not respond, are here behavior triggers i can use to send additional follow up emails at various times?
custom email address in Campaign
Is there any way to send Campaign emails from a custom email address? Or every time, the main email address of the Campaign owner will be used? If so, maybe there's a way to add a secondary address to a user for the purpose of the mailing? There was a situation when our main domain has been added to a public spam list (because of CRM mailings) and emails outside the Campaign were been bounced from our clients servers.

Hello All, We've been using the 1.0.6 version of the Java SDK and just noticed the 2.0.1 version is available. I know the 1.0 Rest API is being deprecated at the of the month but does this apply to this SDK as well? Will we need to move to the 2.0.1 version of the SDK before the end of the month?
