Manage tags and cluster tags

The improved custom tag management comes in a unified window, enabling you to create, apply, and manage tags efficiently. In addition to applying tags to work items, the capability is now extended to projects, releases, epics, sprints, and OKRs providing an efficient labeling system. Learn more

The introduction of cluster tags with custom tags offers an effective mechanism to manage and filter data by the scope of work. A cluster tag helps categorize tags to bring a specific set of labels under a single umbrella, making them meaningful, identifiable, and applicable as a group.

Maintain project expenses

The all new Expense module makes project expense tracking simpler. Learn more
  1. Add expenses based on the type of expense
  2. View and monitor expenses of a particular project
  3. Use the inbuilt approval mechanism to validate expense claims
  4. Create scheduled expenses for recurring expenditure
  5. Track the overall spending

This capability allows you to keep a constant watch on your project budget.

Define budget tracking for projects

Budgeting is a vital aspect in any project. An efficient budget plan and allocation has great influence on the success of the project. Zoho Sprints has implemented budget settings to define the rates and billing for a project based on specifications like work hours and users involved. Learn more

The key characteristics of budget determination like Budgeted cost of Work Performed, Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS), Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), Forecasted Cost, Cost Variance, etc help quantify probable cost for specific time taken, forecast cost at the time of completion, and assess the budget status based on the progress of work.

The various charts in the dashboard enable constant monitoring of the progress of the budget alongside project progress. Comparing the planned budget against the actual budget through the course of the project allows you to predict the upcoming expenses and make decisions that help you prevent overshooting the budget allocated for that project.

Track completion percentage

Define the completion percentage benchmarks for each status of the work items. This provides a quick visual indication of the progress of the work item in a particular status. So the completion percentage is reflected based on the status of the work item, enabling you to assess the progress of work items and plan accordingly. Learn more

Define work hours

Setting work hours can now be applied on multiple levels. Set stipulated work hours for your users. This setting can now be defined on workspace, project, and item levels. Defining the work hours for users on these varied levels allow you to intricately plan and design your human resource and time allocation. Learn more

Support for regex in single line fields

Regex type data is now supported in single line custom field in layouts. Create a single line field and set a criteria for the data to be entered as a regex in the Regex Type field. Learn more

Configuring regex for your single line field provides you with an inbuilt validation system that ensures the data gathered is appropriate to the context of the field.

Clone and import OKRs

Reuse existing OKRs using the clone and import properties. Create OKR once in Zoho and clone the same to repurpose it multiple times.

You can also import OKRs that you've maintained in external files into Zoho Sprints and easily track and monitor their progress. Import your objectives and key results into your workspace from XLS, CSV, or JSON files, and map the file fields with the respective Zoho Sprints fields to transform the data. Learn more

Expand rollup functionality

With the inclusion of integer, decimal, percentage, and currency fields in addition to the existing fields, you can expand the scope of rollup capability. This widens the overall performance of rollup field, providing you with solutions to various requirements that arise in your project. Learn more

Global view enhancements

The global view is now equipped with the following abilities:
  1. Sort using custom fields: You can now use custom fields to sort work items in ascending or descending order, providing more options to sort and view data.
  2. Update data in text and lookup fields: You can now update the data in the text and lookup fields directly in the global view, eliminating the need to navigate to other screens.

Update user details in bulk

Update the roles and profiles of multiple workspace users in one shot. Use multi-select on the listed workspace users and update the required fields. You can also multi-select and deactivate the users. Learn more

This quarter has delivered major features like budget management, expense tracking, and tag and cluster tag management with the intention of improving project management experience in Zoho Sprints. There are more enhancements and new features lined up for the last quarter of 2025. So stay tuned.

Thanks,
Zoho Sprints Team
