Limit work in progress items

Custom status

1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to navigate to the Settings page.
   
2. Go to Custom Status section under Project Settings.
   
3. Click the +Status button. The create window will appear.
   
   
4. Select a color to be associated with that status.
   
5. Enter a name for the status.
   
6. Select the relevant status type.
   
Every status must be associated with one of the status types: Open, In progress, and Close.
1. Open: To do, Yet to start, etc.
   
2. In progress: Ongoing, Waiting for review, Fixing issues, etc.
   
3. Closed: Done, Completed, etc.
   
7. Click the Create button. The new status will be added to the listing page. You can associate your items to this custom status.

1. Go to your board to view and update status of work items.
   
2. You can also update in the item details page.
   
3. You can reorder the sequence of the status. Click the Reorder icon and rearrange the status.
   
4. You can also navigate from the board module. Select the View dropdown and click Status Settings.

Edit status

1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to navigate to the Settings page.
   
2. Go to Custom Status section under Project Settings.
   
3. Click the Edit icon in the required status. The update window will appear.
   
4. Modify the required details.
   
5. Click the Update button. The changes will be saved.

Delete status

1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to navigate to the Settings page.
   
2. Go to Custom Status section under Project Settings.
   
3. Click the Delete icon in the required status. A confirmation pop-up will appear with the request to move associated items to another status.
   
4. Select another status and confirm. The status will be deleted and the items previously associated with it will be moved.
