Solution Corner

Our solution expert team creates custom functions on demand to meet your unique requirements. Here's a list of recent requests:

Spot task duplication

One of our customers reached out to us with the requirement to notify the project owner and task owner whenever a duplicate task gets created. We implemented this using task custom functions and workflow rules where an email alert is triggered when tasks with the same name are traced. Refer to this post for the script.

Preset prefix formats for tasks and issues

Zoho Projects creates task and issue prefixes based on the name given to the task or issue. However, we received an interesting request where a predefined prefix must be set for each new task or issue created. Here’s the custom function code we suggested.

First Response and Resolution with SLA

A customer approached us with a requirement to automatically update SLAs based on the severity of the issue. We worked along with them to create a SLA policy matrix and automatically calculate deadlines based on severity. Get to know the custom function we created in this post.

Auto-update phase status

Do you require your milestones/phases to reflect the status of tasks associated with them? We’ve drafted a step-by-step guide to execute custom functions that can automatically update the phase status. Check it out.
