Zoho Sign’s extension enables project users to send documents for signatures directly from their tasks and issues. This enables document signing and tracking in a single screen without shuffling applications. Install the Zoho Sign extension in your portal to smoothen collaboration, verification and project execution.
Admin users of Zoho Sign account and the admin user or portal users with necessary permissions in Zoho Projects can execute Zoho Sign actions.
Install Zoho Sign
- Log in to Zoho Projects.
- Click the
icon on the top-right and go to Marketplace.
- Under Zoho Apps, search for Zoho Sign for Zoho Projects and click Install.
- Under the General section, select the profiles, projects, and users you want the extension to be shared with.
- Agree to the terms of use and click Save & Proceed.

- Click Zoho Sign for Zoho Projects on the installation page
Under the Connections section,
- Hover over the connection, click Connect for Zoho Sign and agree to the conditions.
- Hover over the connection, click Connect for Zoho Oauth and agree to the conditions.
- Hover over the connection, click Connect for Zoho Projects and agree to the conditions.

Click Save & Proceed.
You will be navigated to Triggers & Functions. In the top-right corner, click Authorize.
- You will be taken to a page where you will need to create an OAuth client ID for the extension.
- Click Create and accept to the terms and conditions.
- Click Install Extension.

Send documents for signatures from Tasks
- Navigate to Tasks from the left navigation pane.
- Click on the relevant task. Or go to the specific project in the left navigation pane and view the task. The Zoho Sign extension will show up on the Extensions bar on the right.
- Upload the document directly or select one of the listed documents that are present in the documents tab under the task. View all documents in the documents tab present on task's page.
- Click Send for Signatures.

- Add Recipients name and email. Configure the signer action, the authentication mode and add a message if needed.

- Click Add.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the recipient details and the X icon to delete a recipient.

- Add a note to all the recipients if required and click Continue.
- Add signature fields for your recipients on Zoho Sign's document viewer page.
- Confirm details and click Send.

Send documents for signatures from Issues
- Navigate to Issues, from the left navigation pane.
- Click on the relevant Issue. Or go to the specific project in the left navigation pane and view the Issue. The Zoho Sign extension will show up on the Extensions bar on the right.
- Upload the document directly or select one of the listed documents that are present in the attachments tab under the issue.
- Click Send for Signatures.
- Add Recipients name and email. Configure the signer action, the authentication mode and add a message if required.
- Click Add.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the recipient details and the X icon to delete a recipient.
- Add a note to all the recipients if required and click Continue.
- Assign fields for your recipients on Zoho Sign's document viewer page.
- Confirm details and click Send.
Sign documents
- Check the email containing the file that needs to be signed, click Start Signing and click Proceed to Document.

Alternatively, upload the document in the extension and select Sign yourself. - Check the agreement box and click Agree & Continue.

- Click on the signature field and select Type, Draw or Upload signature.
You can agree and check the box stating "I acknowledge that my signature and initial along with other profile information will be automatically filled in all the remaining applicable fields across the document(s)." or skip it.
- Click Ok and Finish. The document will be signed and can be emailed, printed or downloaded.

Note: The signing period expires after 15 days of sending.
Check document status and associated documents
- Navigate to Tasks/ Issues, from the left navigation pane.
- Click on the relevant Issue. Or go to the specific project in the left navigation pane and view the Issue. The Zoho Sign extension will show up on the Extensions bar on the right.
- View the documents that have been sent out for signature with the label Zoho Sign for Zoho Projects. Document owners or users with document visibility permissions in Zoho Sign can also preview, download or delete the document from here.

- Click View associated documents and click the dropdown to filter and view the documents under specific stages of the signature workflow.
- Click on respective document to find the details of the signature request, whether the document request has been mailed, viewed or signed. Document owners or users with document visibility permissions in Zoho Sign can view the detailed signature request.
- Click on the icon next to the document name to view the entire document request details in Zoho Sign.
