Exciting News: WhatsApp Templates is now available on Zoho SalesIQ!

We are excited to announce the launch of WhatsApp Templates on SalesIQ, a highly awaited feature that will take your business messaging game to an all-new level. This is going to help you enhance your communication patterns, while also allowing you to reach out to your customers who use WhatsApp, whenever you need without any limitations.


Understanding WhatsApp Templates on SalesIQ

WhatsApp templates are pre-saved message layouts or formats that businesses can utilize to send updates, communications and notifications to their customers. 
  • In SalesIQ, you can create and save templates/message layouts that you can easily insert into your WhatsApp conversations, from within your SalesIQ operator chat window, and send to your WhatsApp customers instantly. 
  • With this feature, you can ensure that your messages are not only timely but also adhere to WhatsApp's best practices for effective communication.

Why is this feature a Game-Changer? 

Closed WhatsApp conversations need not remain closed any more! Now you can start conversations with WhatsApp users using WhatsApp Templates. 
  • Usually, chats from channels have a 24 hour closing window in SalesIQ. But with the WhatsApp templates feature, this has changed for WhatsApp channel chats.
  • Operators can just send the saved WhatsApp templates to customers/WhatsApp users to reopen and continue the conversation

Getting started with WhatsApp Templates on SalesIQ

The below steps summarize how you can set up WhatsApp Templates on SalesIQ.
  • Create and customize a Template:
    • From the SalesIQ dashboard, navigate to Settings > Messaging Channels > WhatsApp and click on Templates at the top right. Here, you can design your templates to suit your business needs.
    • You can craft messages for various scenarios such as customer support, sales updates, promotions and more.
    • Enrich your template with media files like an image, video, or document based on your business requirements.
    • You can also add a few dynamic variables to the message body to personalize your message like visitor's name, phone number, any due dates, amount or discount values, etc. to enrich the template.
    • You can add Call to action or Quick reply buttons to make your templates both engaging and actionable.
For your convenience! - Notice that the preview on the right shows the template that you are creating, giving you an idea of what your template will look like to your customer.

  • Wait for Approval: Once your templates are created, they will be submitted for approval. This step ensures that your messages adhere to WhatsApp’s guidelines for templates.
  • Start using Templates: After approval, you can start using these templates to communicate with your customers seamlessly.
