Tip 14: Add terms and conditions on the booking form

Did you know that you can add your service's terms and conditions on the booking form? The terms and conditions checkbox requires your customers to confirm that they have read and accept your company's guidelines, policies, and expectations. You can also include a link to the terms and conditions page on your website to further ensure the customer is aware of your terms.

For example, psychotherapists often have terms and conditions for booking appointments, including cancellation policies, payment terms, and privacy policies for patient information. This ensures that the patient is aware of the policies before they meet.

In Zoho Bookings, you have the option to include your terms and conditions message along with a hyperlink to your policy page.

Steps to add terms and conditions on the booking form:

  1. Navigate to Services > Select the required service on left pane > Choose Service Preferences on the middle pane. In the Terms and Conditions section on the right, the toggle button will be in the Disabled state.

  1. Set the toggle to Enabled. A Message box will appear. You can enter the text that you want to appear on the booking form and click Save.

  1. To add a link in the message, select the particular text to be linked as shown below.

  1. Then select the link icon. Enter the URL of your policy in the textbox and click Ok.

  1. To make any text bold, select the text and click the B icon.

  1. Click Save.

  1. On the booking page, the customer will be able to see the terms and conditions message in the booking form.

Info:
For Group and Resource bookings services, terms and conditions can be added in the workspace settings under Workspaces > Policies and Preferences.

Incorporating terms and conditions on the booking form serves a multifaceted purpose. It fosters transparency and minimizes misunderstandings and disputes by providing explicit guidelines for crucial matters.
